While this net is going to be a bit too small for ocean salmon, it is IDEAL for the bevy of rockfish species we catch off of the Pacific Coast. The mesh is ideal for handling these spiny critters and lightweight making it perfect for handling my rod in one hand, the net in the other. It's especially ideal for lingcod, which we really want to net since they are such a highly prized fish for retention, yet we have to measure to make sure they're larger than 22". Just a few trials to date, but I'm confident that the materials that went into making this landing net with provide me with a lot of use in the seasons ahead! Thanks for making another great product!

I got this net to replace another one from a different brand that only lasted about two outings. This one is much better quality. The netting is strong, the telescoping rod works very well, and it compacts down to a manageable size for storage. I have used it and have no complaints about it. Highly recommended and would order again!

I took this out fishing with me but couldn't really test it out because I didn't catch anything. But during those 6 hours on a boat, I got to look at the net very closely. The net is pretty lightweight and very convenient to carry around. There's a clip and it folds up nicely. There's also a lanyard with a carabiner so you can just drop the net while its' clipped onto you. It does feel flimsy compared to my other non-folding nets I have. I wouldn't use it for a fish over maybe 10 or so lbs. The latching mechanism is plastic and I feel this would be the weakest point on the net. Because the mechanism has some give in it, it makes the net feel loose or wobbly. This is great for lake fishing where the fish aren't too big but I would prefer a not-folding net for ocean fishing.

Handy net for when I'm fishing on the go. It folds nicely to attach to my pack. Snaps open with one quick movement. It has a non slip handle. There is a clip on the net and a carabiner on the strap for easy stow and access. Another great product from Kastking

I think I'll be throwing my other nets away. This one is much better than other portable nets that I have. The netting material is rubberized. It extends to a nice size and very easy to store and transport. The handle is very sturdy. Would highly recommend.

The build quality on this was a lot higher than I expected! It had a lot of grip and the net feels strong enough to pick up a car wheel in it if needed! Definitely shocked by this purchase! Anyone looking to catch some big fish? This will definitely do the job
