This gel to foam is lovely. I’ve used the curl cream by Cake in the past and I really enjoy that as well, but this gel to foam delivers the soft, defined curl that I look for without the weight of a cream. It also smells incredible, which is not as important but is a nice plus.

Just as described, and as demonstrated in a video I watched. It smells very good, but it is a soft scent and dissipates quickly, actually to quickly because I like it so much! I have thick course curly hair, and I put this on after the leave in curl cream I have, and it works great. It is a good hold. If your hair is not as thick and or course/ you probably could just use this alone after you wash and rinse out condition. ... show more

Years ago I used a similar product for curly hair and liked what I read about this one. I’m still a little on the fence about how much I do or don’t like it. The scent is fine—very lemon-meringue, as described by other reviewers. It dispenses as a gel and quickly foams up into a mousse-like consistency. Frizz control is not as good as other products I use; but this type of product tends to have a higher alcohol content, so that could be the reason my curls look more dry than defined. I like that it’s a cruelty-free product. Maybe I need to spend some more time playing with it, but atm it’s not on my go-to product list. ... show more

Live here in Florida and it smells so good. It also holds up to the Florida humidity. My curls looked amazing and were soft and bouncy and not crunchy. But the hold was amazing.

I was skeptic but took the risk. Works a lot better than I thought it will’s. I love the smell, love how it glides in my hair well (great slip). It made my curls bouncy, held together and didn’t frizz or flake and it didn’t break the bank.. Definitely worth the buy!

    • Lightweight, won't weigh fine thin hair down.
Love this stuff so much. I have low density, fine, 3a curly waves and it does not weigh them down at all. I get my perfectly formed ringlets without a ton of products to stretch my curls down. If lift is what you need, then I'd give this a try. It's great for low humidity weather. I live in a tropical climate so most of the year i have to layer it with a light weight gel underneath. But if not for the humidity, this would definitely streamline the process for me so much. ... show more
