Bought this “little guitar” for our 2 year old. They play with it often and really like the bright design, the strap, and that it has a case. Quality is good. I’m not sure if it stays in tune as our child keeps changing the tuning.

I've played guitar before so I know a little about fretted stringed instruments but it doesn't make me a "uke" expert! In fact, this was not ordered for me but for a family member who had expressed a desire to learn to play one. A Christmas gift 'tis will be. I did handle the uke to assess its quality and sound. I had to figure out how to put it in tune. You can find tuning apps on the internet which sound tones with which to match the sound of the ukulele string by string. A small instruction manual comes along which provided the fingering for some basic chords. The majority of the uke is made of linden wood aka basswood, a very light but stable hardwood. Other parts include poplar, also a light hardwood used in the neck, possibly because it is stronger and can withstand the string tension. All together it makes for an extremely light instrument. It makes the included strap superfluous. They also include a cleaning cloth, some picks, extra strings and carrying case. The case is zipped and fully padded with a storage pocket and a set of straps for wearing as a backpack, all nice touches. The Amazon product page has a contradiction in that the first "About this item" bullet suggests it is made from a "high quality mahogany". As a woodworker, that would have been a grave disappointment as the "high quality mahogany" ukulele would have been egregiously painted! Light instrument that it is with a whimsical paint job that agrees with the joyful sound of a ukulele. (But it wasn't my favorite colors.) I did shop around for ukes; you can get much more expensive versions, but for a beginner this is a good place to start. If the desire, doesn't take not a huge amount was spent. (Although this one is for a gift...) PS. Banana fingers will be challenged to play this thing, I couldn't.

My 2 year old wants to play guitar like Papa, so I got her this as a bang around toy that isn't some plastic fake thing. It's a legit Ukelele. For the price, I can't really ask for much more. I restrung it left-handed, which honestly was kind of a pain because the strings just have a nut tied on the end, it was hard getting them back into the bridge because they aren't "real" strings with the nut integrated. Having said that the nylon they use for the strings sounds fine; although like the manual says, they will stretch A TON, so go through your usual stringing an instrument steps and then do it like four more times to get that stretch out.

This is great for beginners as is very easy to use. It comes with all the accessories that you need to get started. I believe that it stays tuned very well as I haven't felt the need to tune it as of yet. I really love that it came with a case because that really protects it a lot. Not a bad price for a really awesome ukulele!

This ukulele is ok. They actually construction of it is great quality but the strings are terrible. They are not real strings and barely make any sound. I feel like the strings will snap too very easily. The case is a great addition and it’s beautiful in color and standing out but the functionality of it could use some improvement. I got it for my 8 year old as a gift so for a beginner child it’s fine but not for an older kid or adult. It’s lightweight as well and easy to hold/carry.
