Are used to own an espresso drive-through. I have a commercial espresso machine in My Home. . I wanted something to take with me when I travel and this fits the bill and this is just absolutely perfect the phone app is great!!     • Falls short on all fronts
If you're shopping for a super automatic, you might have noticed that there are other brands offering a similar form factor. It turns out that the inner mechanism is the same and GE and other brands offer different functionality. GE's version requires an active WiFi connection and an app to configure it. The App experience was an absolute wreck. It failed to save my settings, the customization options were so limited I question why its even there. The options are to: set the grind time; set my brew volume to 4.5 or 5.5oz (other brands offered up to 7oz); and the option to change the brew temperature from 194F to 198F. Thats it. Of course since it didn't save my settings after rebooting my phone, reinstalling the app, installing it on another iOS device, this machine was pretty much unusable aside from the default brew. Now to be fair, it looks gorgeous and the build material was nice but as a super automatic, it failed to deliver. ... show more

    • Fantastic espresso
I have tried a couple different types of espresso beans in this machine and they have been exceptionally good. When I first got the machine I put regular coffee beans through it and the result was terrible, so get espresso beans. I like that it holds a good amount of water and whole beans, neither needs to be refilled very often. When they do need attention, you get a message on the machine and on your phone if it is connected. When you press power it always runs a "rinsing" sequence first to clear the lines, then you are ready to make whatever type of coffee you want. The espresso and Americano that it makes are excellent. I have the "mycup" set up to make a double shot of espresso so I can make iced lattes. TL;DR easy to use and makes great espresso ... show more

Looks great, but connecting to the app via WiFi to operate this thing is more than a notion. The app design is horrible and connecting to the WiFi is non-trivial. But it does make a good cup of coffee.

I have worked in coffee for the last 7 plus years and this machine is worth every penny so far. Have had for about a week. I haven’t set up through the app portion of it so I can’t comment on that, but I can say that the steam wand produces good pressure and allows you to get different textures such a latte or cappuccino. Shots pull smoothly. It’s easy to set up. The one thing I wish was better was the temperature of the hot water, I do find that my drinks cool down faster then I would like. ... show more

    • Super convenient and small footprint.
For what it does this thing is TINY. I had a manual espresso set up with a breville duo pro and baratza settle grinder. The manual process became more of a PITA when I had to go back into the office. So I tried out this automatic machine, and after a week sold the manual set up. Now, the espresso isn't quite as good as the manual set up (a little less strong) and you can't fiddle with the settings nearly as much. That said, it's WAY more convenient. In the morning I can turn it on and it does the rinse cycle while I'm getting lunch together. Then I hit "my cup" and run a double while I keep getting lunch set up. Then I have it run a hot water cycle (which is timed), finish wrapping up lunch. And boom I got an extra 5-10 minutes of my morning back. Maybe 5-10 minutes of the morning doesn't seem like much, but it feels like forever. Small notes: a double or triple brews singles back to back. The steam wand is a panerello. Bought this unit prior to the end of 2022 as the capsule unit I had got too costly. Was worried about the overall durability and espresso that would be produced, and the machine outperformed my hopes. Easy to clean, saves a ton of money using whole beans, and most importantly produces nice and consistent shots of espresso. My only critical comment is the buttons are sensitive on the top, so while you are making your drink don’t try to multi task around the top of the unit. ... show more
