I bought this in size 1000 to give it a try on my one St. Croix Avid light power walleye rod. I really like this reel. Not only is it awsome cosmetically but it performs very well. Is very smooth, tight with no movement or noise. It's also so light in weight it feels like you are holding nothing more heavier than a feather in your hand. It is not quiet as smooth as my Diawa Gekkajibin or Diawa Prorex spinning reels but for $90 it is really close to them. I do put it above my Pfluger Supreme and President spinning reels as well as a couple of my Okuma reels. I would recommend this to someone looking for a good reel under $120. I have absolutely no complaints with mine and would have no problem buying again as I feel you definitely get your money's worth for it.

I previously owned the Cadence CS7 and when I saw the Primo come out had to buy it. These reels are great and Cadence is the only company that produces a 11+1 ball bearing with a 6.2:1 gear ratio at this price point. They are high quality reels without the ridiculous high price of others. Great Performance too extremely smooth, strong and lightweight I also had the pleasure of dealing with their customer service department and they went above and beyond to help me with my CS7 that I damaged. Great Company!

Very surprised how smooth this reel is out of the box. I'm used to fishing high dollar reels from Shimano and Daiwa and it's almost as smooth as them. First thing I checked was to see if the handle screws to the side plate which it does. I next started checking for bearings and was pleasantly surprised to see actual bearings instead of bushings. Light oil at all the bearings and its ultra smooth. I'm only using it for panfish so I'm not worried strength. Time will tell if longterm it will keep up with my JDM reels.

The Cadence Primo 4000 spinning reel was shipped with either no bail spring or defective. Bail did not close when reeled upon arrival from Amazon. It appears there is no quality control in the factory. I have bought 2 different cheaper Cadence spinning reels in the past 12 months with no problems with them. I decided to try a higher priced Cadence spinning reel in the Primo, now I wonder if the other 2 Cadence reels will last. I am returning the Cadence Primo 4000 reel and will buy another brand reel. No paperwork of any kind enclosed in the box (warranty, parts lists, anything) just the reel. Makes me wonder about the company?

Smooth n light weight. Can toss a 1/16oz jig into the wind with 6lb flouro. Good drag too. I have the 30 series and it has landed a lot of bass already.
