  • The most amazing thing about this is that the cable withstood 2 ...
Ok, I've had this product already for 2 years and all I can say is that it's durable as hell! I'm using it for my next door neighbor who has fiber and well wanted to share it with me, so the cable is exposed to constant sun light, water, etc.... I live in Puerto Rico. The most amazing thing about this is that the cable withstood 2 CATEGORY 5 HURRICANES(Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Irma) !!! without taking damage (the cable is literally hanging from my roof to his roof). So if you want a good durable cable this is the one you should choose. ... show more

  • don't buy them if you're using for video transmission!
Size: 75 ft Color: Black
I bought two of Cable Matters Cat6 Ethernet Cable 75ft each and the Cable Matters Active USB 3.0 Extension 32ft, I needed them for a theatre show to transmit video signal. I've tested the 75 ft Cat6 Ethernet Cable with my HDMI transmitter, the signal was lagging and consistently transmitting about 3-5 frames per second. I've swapped to another 100 ft Cat 5e that the theatre had for backup, the video signal was smooth and clear. I also tested the USB 3.0 extension with regular Logitech usb camera, the frame rate was also really low, about 3-5 frames per second. I had to borrow another extension and the signal became smooth and normal again. After these 2 testings, my conclusion is that Cable Matter's cable quality definitely has some issues. It was a waste of my money and my time. It also wasted some of the tech time that I had in the theatre trying to trouble shoot this and finding backup solutions. I recorded some video of me testing both the Cable Matter's cable and another brand and show that Cable Matter's quality has some clear problems while another brand does the job. Now that I have these 3 cables are pretty much useless for me. I've send them back for return. It wasted quite a bit of my time, so I just wanted to share with y'all here, be aware of this brand's cable, at least if you're looking to do video transmission! ... show more

  • Good reason for 5 stars
Size: 35 ft Color: Black
I can't speak to the electrical qualities of the cabling--although it streams Netflix fine from my router to my TV--but the physical qualities of the cable are terrific. How often have you had a cable connector stick in a modem, router, or other device? The connectors on these cables are top quality. They go in smoothly and remove smoothly, yet lock in consistently for a quality connection. I've paid three times the price at a name brand national computer retailer with disappointing results. I also love that there are multiple lengths available (at least in black), which has made my particular application much neater. Buy this brand. You'll be glad you did. ... show more

  • all ethernet cables from this company are defective
Size: 20 ft Color: White
I invested hundreds in new cables for 4 homes from this company. They are all defective. As the cables heat up with usage, the plastic on the connectors start to expand, making it later almost impossible to pull them out of the ports. I have damaged a port on a $1500 Ubiquiti switch this way, just from trying to pull out one of these cables. Avoid. ... show more

  • Reliable, steady signal with extremely low latency.
Size: 25 ft Color: Black
Whether you're gaming online, streaming or downloading/uploading terabytes of data, a stable internet connection will always be extremely useful. I tend to access my computer remotely through cellular data when I'm not home, so having an always online workstation is pretty important to me. In the 4+ years I've been using these Ethernet cables i have not have them fail even once and I don't expect them to fail anytime soon. If you need a longer cable keep in mind Ethernet cables do not degrade the signal over long distances the same way USB cables do. Ethernet maximum length is 100 metres/328 feet while USB is only 16 feet/4.88 meters. If you're a gamer, do yourself a favor and get these cables for a stable internet connection and low ping. ... show more

  • Do not listen to reviews saying this cable "limits speed to X mb/s"
Size: 35 ft Color: Black
I plugged this cable into port 1 of my 4 port router. It was throttled to 16mb/s. I plugged it into port 2, and it was still throttled. Then, after moving to the 3rd port on my router, I saw a connection speed of 500mb/s. Port 4 was also full speed. I then moved back to port 1 to make sure it was a router issue, and sure enough it was limited again to 16mb/s. This cable is fully functional. Test the multiple ports on your router before writing a bad review. These reviews stating that the cable is throttling their connection most likely plugged into their 1st port on their router and had the same issue I did, a problem with the ROUTER, NOT the cable. No packet loss. No noise despite being wound up in a coil at points, and being in a very electro-magnetically "noisy" room. ... show more

  • The Best Ethernet Cable On Amazon
Size: 25 ft Color: Black
My favorite part about this cable is the material it’s made with. It doesn’t fight you too hard when laying it out, just give it a little tug in the right direction and the cable complies....making cable runs really nice and clean right out of the gate. Was using this to go hardline into my router in my studio which is linked to the main router downstairs. Going hardline with this cable brought my download speed from 120/200Mbps (via WiFi) up to 350Mbps and my upload speed went from 100/150Mbps to 421Mbps. Those who say the cable is limited to 100Mbps must have a defective cable. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Best cat5 E cables I've owned
Size: 50 ft Color: White
I have always had very good results with cable matters cat6 cables. I bought this 50 footer to run from my computer room to my entertainment room. It's connected to my Comcast business cable modem and is hooked up to a Linksys SE3008 8 port switch. From there I have it connected to a Sony Blu ray player, Dish satellite hopper 3 w/sling, WD TV HDMI box, QNAP TS-853A NAS 8 bay, XBox 360, Yamaha AV Receiver RX-A720, laptop pc, some of the HDMI Inputs go through a 5 port auto HDMI Switch. I also use Netflix through the tv and Amazon Prime TV through the Blu ray player. My speeds are on an average of 48-75 mbps everything plays very smooth with no skipping or stopping to buffer. I also switched all my cables in my computer room to cable matters cat6. 3 computers, 1-2 bay NAS, 4 printers and one Linksys SE-3008 8 port switch. ... show more
