I purchased this ink maintenance box for my Epson ET-8550 photo printer. I use my printer very often. I started to noticed a decline in the print quality after a year or so of nearly daily usage. I stumbled across this option after doing some research. I was surprised by how easy it was to install and use. The instructions included were very helpful and precise. The printer reacted well it. And it now functions again as if it was new. I found it very considerate that gloves were added to protect my skin from possible exposure. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this purchase. Since I am typically impartial to using off brands when it comes to my printers in general. But the manufacturers recommended option was drastically out of the budget. ... show more

After doing a couple of power cleans, you really need to dump the old maintenance box. Epson recognizes that this is a legitimate box. Once installed, you will notice a nice difference in performance.
