Perfect for my 95 year old mother that is 80% deaf and can not hear regular phones. This phone is very loud and loud enough for her to hear clearly, also Mom's vision is impaired and only has 75% in one eye so the large number buttons are easy for her to see and use. I set up the phone to use with Red Pocket mobile for $10.00 per month with unlimited talk and text and it works perfectly. It very simple to set up with Red Pocket Mobile which allows you to switch and use any of the three major Cell companies, Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile, I chose Red Pocket to use AT&T and it was simple and works perfect. **I will come back and update as needed **UPDATE #1- 4/25/25: SIM card from Consumer Cellular arrived fast! Three days ahead of schedule! So, I have numbers on speed dial. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't. I might end up returning this because the point of buying this was a WORKING phone. Not a sometimes acting phone. :( I feel like this took forever to ship (ordered 4/5. Received 4/21), but it got here a day early. I read in the comments that this phone isn't compatible with T Mobile. I'll tell you now that it isn't compatible with AT& T either. ( And don't let them try to sell you anything you don't want.) I just called Consumer Cellular, read them the IMEI number that's located on the back of the phone ( make sure the battery is out first), and this phone IS INDEED compatible with their service!! Now, they'll have to send you out a SIM card, but she said it should be here within 3-5 days. Their prices are great too! The phone is light, but my 75 year old Mom is excited about it and with the big buttons, I think she'll be just fine with this. I wanted to pass on this info for anyone looking at purchasing this phone. I'm giving it a 4 right now because we have to see how well it works when the SIM card gets here. Thank you! ... show more

Bought this for 91-year old man who has low vision. While he cannot see the keys, he can feel the raised keys. Good to have a memory 1 and 2 key for important numbers like his wife's phone. The SOS button on the backside is good in concept, but he has accidentally pressed it without knowing he pressed it and sent erroneous SOS alerts. However, it is easy to disable the SOS button from sending erroneous alerts. Volume of the speaker is sufficiently loud. The Verizon store guy who was setting up this phone said it is a good phone and wished they had it in their store. For all that the phone offers, it is priced well.
