  • Stop messing around with those flimsy bars
Number of Items: 1
This is a heavy grade pull bar. After having gone through two of the ones that are included in those flooring install kits, I opted for this one. It's got a reinforced mallet surface that won't bend down over time. It has a widerpull section than the other ones I've used, too. The only thing I don't care for is that the added durability means the metal is thicker. It's just a little more difficult to get in those edges under the drywall. Keep your old thinner bar around for those situations. Otherwise, this is my go-to bar because it's functional and reliable! ... show more

  • Works, but take care.

Overall the bar works. I wouldn't use it on a snapping edge without another piece of flooring connected because you'll damage the edge your smacking it against. Also, the felt pads are on it in places that don't protect your flooring. When your smacking it with a hammer, you will hit the bar against the flooring you've laid. I resolved this issue by having a scrap piece to lay it on. Last, when around cabinets or a wall, it's hard to get a good swing in without hitting what is on the backswing. Would be nice to be a couple inches longer. Overall, it worked with a few precautions. Not a bad price. It'll do what you need it to. ... show more

  • Necessary tool when installing LVP floors
Number of Items: 1
During the process of ripping all the carpets out of my house to replace with LVP (luxury vinyl plank) floors, I quickly realized that when you got close to the walls the tapping block and mallet were no longer an option. I looked at my local home improvement store but they wanted over $30 for this pull bar. I hopped online and quickly found this item and it arrived fast as usual with Prime. I have used it to install around 1400sqft of flooring and had no issues. There are a couple of felt pads on the bottom to prevent scratching when you lay it on the board. I found that I needed to use a normal hammer to get enough force because the rubber mallet would chip when I hit the pull bar as hard as required. Of course using a metal hammer may cause some of the black paint to flake off but it's a tool and I don't expect it to look brand new after banging on it . The bar has not bent or failed in any way. I would recommend this to anyone doing DIY flooring. ... show more
