Super light and easy to use. The cord is even long enough for use in my husband's truck. It locks onto the valve, so you can inflate your tire, but be safely away from traffic. You set the PSI desired and it stops automatically. It's not super fast - it took between 4 and 5 minutes to go from 13.5 to 37 psi. Easy to use. Lightweight. Effective. Overall a very nice product with just one problem. The only problem I have with this unit, is the valve stem lever is plastic, instead of hard metal. This is the second unit I have purchased. The first unit was a slightly different model but had the same plastic lever value stem, which was the first thing that broke. It did last for quite a while before it broke but I have learned to be very careful when pushing down the valve stem lever. Never push down from far edge of the lever, as the plastic lever seems to weaken with several uses, until it snaps in half, making the unit worthless, even through it still pumps air. If used with caution it is very handy product that works well for it's size. I just wish they would charge an extra dollar and make the valve stem all metal, which would make this an excellent product instead of just good. I liked this product enough to give it a second try and up-graded the model to this unit. I was hoping this up-graded unit would have an all metal valve stem but didn't. If this lever breaks I will not give it another try as I will treat the plastic lever with caution this time. I would still recommend this product but use it carefully. ... show more

    • Unreliable and a bad purchase

I bought this item as a gift for the kids and my wife to keep in the car to inflate their soccer balls, beach items, a tire in an emergency etc. We opened it at Christmas and had no use for it for the first month to six weeks. We then blew up three soccer balls and it seem to work fine. However, when it came to the important time the item showed its true colors. We took the kids out with their bikes and it inflated the tire for about 30 seconds and then shut down. What made it worse was that on the same day my wife’ car tire had a slow leak. I needed to use the pump to inflate her car tire enough to get it to the gas station. Well, that wasn’t happening. Two seconds in, then it shut off. I unplugged it to reset it. Again another two seconds in and it shut off. I then use the plug figuring that perhaps the car lighter was the issue. That was not the case. It made no difference. The same thing happened again. It just shut down. I looked to see if there were restrictions on the pounds per square inch and no limits are listed. There’s no warning that tells you it’s not for those purposes. I specifically bought the item so I could have one that we both plug into the car lighter and the outlet at home. I chalked that day up to experience and took the item home. I figured it’s too late to return it now so I might as well use it for my upcoming basketball season. No such luck there either. It pumped up a basketball for 10 seconds then quit the job. At the end of the day this is a “DO NOT PURCHASE”. please be careful. I suggest you try a different pump. You have been warned! ... show more

    • Saves a trip to find an air pump - which is probably broken anyway

Cars alerted me that all 4 tires of both cars - were suddenly underpressure. That happens when the air temperature drops in the Fall. So it is inconvenient to find a working air pump at any local gas station: everybody else is trying to inflate. So. I shopped and bought this pump. It works. I used it both from the car's cigarette-lighter (12VDC) and from wall current from the house. It took a moment to figure out that I had to push the appropriate button AFTER getting everything set up, but once that was figured out, it worked quite nicely. It took about a minute to add 5PSI to a tire - about the same amount of time as the ones at the gas station. Easy to read display. Feels pretty solid. The 12VDC cord is actually pretty short so you may want to get an extension of some kind if you intend to use it that way, but it is really nice to have the option of power sources: House or car. I'm quite pleased that I won't have to wait in line at the "public" pumps anymore - and I can inflate my bicycle and unicycle tires as an added plus. ... show more
