Once installed, this works great. The issue I have is with the design, as some have mentioned there is a big gap between the top of the light and the ceiling. The provided nuts designed to hold the light to the base (that’s attached to the metal utility/gang box) are ‘acorn’ style nuts. Thus, they only screw in so far. Said otherwise, the light fixture cannot be tightened to the mounting base with only those nuts (leaving a big gap). I purchased some standard style nuts that were slightly larger than the screw diameter, and used those as spacers between the provided acorn nut and the light. This allowed the light to be snugged up against the ceiling. If I hadn’t made this modification, we’d have wasps making nests at the top of the light. ... show more

Installed for 2 days and so far excellent. Installation is as cumbersome as all lamps are. The cover comes out and you can put 2 bulbs in there of any type of light you like. The sensor has 2 controls on its side, sensitivity (low to high) and duration of light (up to 5 min). The setting I love is that AUTO which means, off during the day and motion sensor during the night! Looks nice, excellent for porch to not keep a light on all night long. Installed two of these three weeks ago and so far so good. I set the sensitivity to medium and there is no delay in turning on when I step outside or towards the porch. I was worried about the dusk to dawn sensor not being accurate being under a large porch, but it works like a champ and stays off as soon as the sun rises. ... show more

    • Great addition to our mud room
The light switches in our mud room are only on one side of the room, which means we have to walk through a dark room to turn on the light when entering from outside. We installed this motion sensor light in our mud room to make life a little easier. The light was easy to install, looks good, and has adjustments for motion sensitivity and length of time the light stays on. I do recommend using an led light bulb, as I tested with an incandescent bulb and the light housing was warm after a short time. The led bulb solved that rather quickly. ... show more
