The garters and netting are a bit big on me, but I adjusted the garters (they will snag) and didn't wear them high on my thighs so that the mesh would lay down flatter (I was not blessed in the booty department). However, these shorts are made of a very sturdy fabric that provides some tummy control, and they made my flat butt look great. Maybe I could have sized down, but mostly they are true to size. I'm 5'5, 162 lbs. with a little curvy and athletic build. I use them for a dance performances and rehearsals.

Got these dance classes and they fit great (used suggested size chart). Plus, they're durable! I was them on delicate and hang them up to dry, but they're still in great condition. Which I was worried about with the mesh parts but overall a great buy. I'll probably end up getting the other colors just because they last.
