I really like this Flip Side Liner & Shadow Duo because it combines two essential eye makeup products into one convenient tool, making it easy to create various looks. The durability of the packaging feels solid, and the caps click securely into place, so I am confident tossing it into my makeup bag without worrying about messes. I am pretty basic when it comes to my eye makeup; 9 days of of 10 I'm rocking a black cat eye and some mascara and calling it good to go. Most of the time I default to a liquid eyeliner but I've recently been looking for a non liquid I can keep in my purse for on the go that I don't have to worry about leaking everywhere. I've used Buxom products in the past and loved them but this is my first time trying their eye makeup and I am so happy with it so far! The eyeliner is so creamy and glides on beautifully. I got my cat eye nice and sharp on my first try, and the black was so pigmented and rich immediately. One coat of the eyeliner was all I needed for full coverage. No streakiness or missed spots anywhere. The other end of the pen is an eye shadow, which I had slightly more difficulty with. The eyeshadow didn't glide on quite as easily/smoothly as the eyeliner did, but I also have excess skin on my eyelids so I usually have to go over eyeshadow several times to get it the way I like it. I did, however like how easily the eyeshadow pen side made doing a smoked out eyeliner look. It put me in touch with my high school emo girl roots, but in a more everyday wearable way. One thing I did notice was that the eyeshadow side of the pen has a screw on cap, and the eyeliner side just pulls on and off...not necessarily a negative thing but I was confused when I first tried to open it. I can definitely see the eyeliner becoming an everyday staple to my makeup routine, and using the eyeshadow occasionally.

Good color and holds up well throughout the day. I thought the tip for the eyeliner side was a bit too thick and needed to use some makeup remover to get the right thickness as I don't like to have a lot of makeup on. The dual sided design is really nice for travel and the overall product is nice and compact

This is a great quality brand, and this eyeshadow/liner stick is no exception! The color is a very pretty plum color and it glides on smoothly. I found that the eyeshadow itself stays put for most of the day and does not smear. The liner is also very good, and stays put all day. Overall a great product by a great company!

Buxom Flip Side Dual-Ended Eyeliner & Shadow Duo is simply amazing. It's the all-in-one pencil for smokey eyes, now I just need one product to get the perfect, edgy rockstar look, easily and quickly. On one side is an extremely creamy, easy-to-glide retractable eyeliner that is pigmented and BLACK! I love how dark it goes on and the fact that the color doesn't diminish in darkness, even when I use it on my waterline. On the other side is an eye shadow that has a shimmery effect to it, it's easy to apply and goes on like a cream eye shadow. This dual-ended pencil, is extremely pigmented, buildable and blendable, it's also very long-lasting.

I am a fan of Buxom products so when I saw this flip side, dual end liner and shadow combo, I had to try it. Once I tried it on my hand, I was a bit disappointed since it wasn’t nearly as dark as the picture on my skin. If I had known this, I would have ordered a different color combo than the Totally Taupe. I do like how convenient the combination is for throwing in your purse and I like the color of the liner. The eye shadow will make a descent base color under other shadow. My hope was to have one product for touch ups on the go. As a side note, the shadow side twists off and the liner side pulls off. I didn’t know this so I accidentally pulled the entire powder cartridge out of the pencil. It is a cool design though since you push it down for more to come out. All in all, I like the product and think it’s convenient and I like the crease proof aspects from the primer-infused eye shadow. I wish the pictures were true to color. If it had been, I would have ordered a different color combo. The price is in line with other brands of this quality and the rest of their line.
