Works very well, accurate and yardage confirmed with top tier range finder. Best thing is the app syncs well with watch and can easily populate new courses, and updates. Two new courses opened near me...and this watch grabbed them both. My 2 garmins I returned did not load easily and required old school pc. I'm android phone/chromebook and into some tech...so the Bushnell was able to run. Probably not as good as some Apple devices, but plenty of good features for me, and I've had gps watches for many years. Good price, and it charges ok...just be careful with charge adapter but its good. Played a round and the battery was still 75% up so seems good. Easy setup with just a quick overview, light on wrist, color display good, and affordable too.

Buyer beware!

Buyer beware. Bought on 5/8/26and stopped charging on 6/9/26! Seems to be a recurring issue with this model. Called Bushnell support twice and emailed once over three days. No response. Silence. Nothing. They know the product has issues. Crap shoot if you get one that works or not. Charger cable design is crap also, probably part of the problem. It’s too bad because I enjoyed using the watch the 10 or so rounds I got out of it, but now I need to purchase another watch. Won’t be a Bushnell.

Worth the money

I would not buy this watch for two reasons. First it is extremely difficult to charge. Interface between watch and cable is very unstable. Connection is hard to maintain resulting in watch not being charged. Second reason is use of watch is not intuitively obvious. Reading distances to obstacles is impossible. Switching from absolute distance to slope distance is not easily accomplished. Unfortunately I didn’t use watch much before return window expired so didn’t recognize its limitations. I couldn’t return it. There are several better options on the market.

Great watch with a bad charging cord

First and foremost: Immediately register this watch on the Bushnell App so the serial number and your contact information is available to product support! The watch works great when the battery is functioning (it's really a great watch and super accurate), but within 6-weeks the watch would no longer take a charge using the supplied 4-prong cord. The cord is the weak link here and is a horrible design. Called Bushnell support and after 13 minutes (you need to be patient) they answered and found my registered information. Bushnell product support found that my serial number was within a "bad batch of charging cords" and they would FedEx a new cord immediately. So while I am officially without a functioning watch nearing the end of golf season, at least I know the reason why. Personally, I feel that Bushnell should automatically send out new charging cords to ALL of the owners within the bad serial numbers...they should not make customers go through the process of calling product support before sending a good cord.

Won't charge after 9 months

I really like the Ion Elite but after only 9 months it suddenly stopped charging. Reading the reviews, this seems to be a common problem. I'm just now starting the repair or return process with Bushnell but other reviews indicated that customer service is terrible. We'll see how it goes but I expect a battle. In the mean time I would recommend people to look at other brands of GPS watches. I'm updating my review to be fair to potential customers and Bushnell. After my watch failed as indicated above, I contacted Bushnell via phone. I left a call back number and they called back later that day as promised. After describing the problem a case number was assigned. I sent the watch, with the required receipt to show date of purchase, to the repair facility in KS and in about two weeks they replied that the watch was covered under the warrenty. In about a week a new watch arrived. I love the watch functionally and now am satisfied with the customer service. Original rating was two stars because of a failure after only 9 months but upgraded now to 4 stars due to responsive customer service.
