  • GREAT...with some very very minor issues
I have to write a review for these because I was in search of the "perfect" snowboard pant for my body and personality and I know this may help someone else. I saw nothing in any of the reviews about how SEXY and FEMININE these are. What I was looking for is something for spring skiing that would be cute and functional. I am an expert rider; big jumps, back-country type. So I can tell you I probably wouldn't recommend these for a big day of heli-boarding and/or extreme cold in Canada or the Swiss Alps. But here I am, now a single mommy of two, training my kids to snowboard and being a little bit more snow-bunny than I am accustomed to. I am now taking breaks at the bar in the lodge (NEVER done that before ha ha) and I don't want to look like worn out trash. So I wanted to upgrade my current gear to something cuter. Mind you, I have been skiing/boarding since I have been able to walk. So I have worn all sorts of gear, from bibs to 90s style ski onesies to my fave Marmot board pants that have lasted me sixteen (*gasp) years before they recently ripped. I was SO afraid to branch out from them, but I upgraded my board, bindings and boots this season, so it was time to get some new duds, too. Plus it's my birthday and I'm a single mom and nobody buys me anything ha ha. SO...to the point. I am 5'7" very athletic build with 36x27x36 measurements. If I buy a pair of Lucky brand jeans, I am squeezing into a 25 or comfortable in a 26. Size 2-4 in most clothing. Bugs me that our warped, denial-enabling American values have allowed us to lie to people and under-inflate sizing so much. Back in the 90s and before, fashion models wore size 6. Because the ideal female measurements are supposed to be: 36x26x36. And the pant/dress size should equate to your actual waist measurement. I should therefore be a size 7! Off my soap box. I am the kind of girl who flies airplanes in combat but still wears lip gloss, so I really wanted something cute, but not "cutesy". I'm too old for cutesy tight snow pants. But also too sexy for weird baggy triple-layer puffer pants. When I decided to buy a new snowboarding outfit, I went on Amazon and bought every higher-end pair of pants and jacket I could find in both SM and XS to try on with the intention of returning the ones I didn't like. So what I bought runs the gamut, but THESE were the clear winner with a few drawbacks so far. Still waiting on a few more to arrive, but i was so so so excited after my first ride with these on, I had to review while my mind was fresh. I can throw in a few tips for you ladies looking for the same things I'm looking for. Oakley brand is cute by WAY big, but very nice quality. If you're near my size, XS is the size you want, and for you tiny girls it still is gonna be too big. Roxy is more of a "junior" brand and the pants are all too short for me. So if you are tall steer clear of Roxy. That said, all of their Junior Small jackets look pretty good on me, and the sleeves are the right length. So go for it if you're into the Roxy jackets. I tried a few of the APTRO pants and they are sorta...bulky. As I mentioned, I am too vain to wear bulky pants. I work very very hard for this physique so I want to show it off, but also stay warm. :-) I am going to update this review after I try on a few other Burton pants like the Gloria. Bottom line: If you are looking for snowboard pants that could awesomely double as a sexy pair of date pants on a very cold day at NASCAR or a concert, this is it!!! Go for it. My avid-cyclist thighs fit into them...barely. If you've got narrow thighs and you are thin, they'd be great for you. But I am OK with a very slight bit of discomfort compared to the loose-fit because they make me look amazing. I have ridden in these size XS Vida pants once now and can confirm they do not restrict my motion "too" much. Not enough to make it worth returning them. The only very minor issue is that the inner "cinch" system is velcro and the hard side can rub on your bare skin if you don't tuck a shirt into the waist. I fixed it with a very long tight Under Armor base layer, but as I twist, turn, jump and ride in big terrain that can be a problem as it comes untucked and these pants rub me raw. Small price to pay for the approving glances and sometimes cat calls of just about every man out on the slopes as you burn past them and show them the proper line to take ;-) Happy riding, ladies. ... show more

  • Happy with Purchase
Color: Foxglove Violet Size: X-Small
So this is my review after just trying them on for the first time. The foxglove violet color is a little brighter online rather than IRL, but cute nonetheless in terms of color and design. The fit is great! Very flattering. For reference, I’m 5’4 with a size 24/25 waist and ~105 pounds, and I got the XS. After tightening with the Velcro straps, the pants fit me well - otherwise it’s loose for my size. I think these do run a little larger as others say, but the good thing is that there are Velcro straps to tighten pants without them being uncomfortable! I haven’t worn them out for the season yet, but will update if there are any issues. ... show more

  • Awesome pants!
Color: Tender Shoots Size: X-Small
I haven’t shopped for ski gear in a very long time and I had a very specific color pants I wanted - bright lime green! These are absolutely awesome and not bulky, like some of the other brands I’ve tried. The length of the pants is tall-people friendly, and have a very neat detail on the back of the legs - a string, so the bottom half can be pulled up. I am just over 5’7” with a hip measurement of 37 and I did have to order a size down. I originally ordered a Small and they were just a bit too baggy for my liking, bunching up quite a bit in the front area. I felt like I constantly had to pull them up even with the waist strings pulled all the way in - leaving almost an extra inch in the waist. Ordered an XS before sending the other pair in a Small back. They still have plenty of room with thicker layers underneath and don’t restrict the movement. If you have an option to order two sizes to try , definitely do that - I didn’t think I would need an XS and it turned out to be the perfect size and most importantly, it does not take away from the length! =) hope this helps someone get their dream ski pants! ... show more

  • Great fit! Even with all the bending over!
Color: Mood Indigo New Size: Large
These are great and flattering as far and board pants go! They have plenty of room in the knees for braces as well should you need to wear them.

  • Great color. Looks good.
Color: Foxglove Violet Size: X-Small
Cute pant. Keeps my daughter warm and dry. Only 3 stars because sizing is odd. Purchased small and xs. Small is quite big (have the waist tabs fully cinched in) but xs was way too tight. Kept the small as it goes with coat but need to keep it really cinched in

  • Cute pants but not for hardcore skiing!
I saw a girl boarding down the slopes here in Beaver Creek wearing these GORGEOUS pants and I knew I had to have them! After much research I located these cool pants. But cool they really are, like they are thin cotton pants with a waterproof coating! Hello ?!?!? For snow sports?!?!? I admit that I am a total ski pant addict! I live at a ski resort and ski Vail or Beaver Creek 40 days a season. I LOVE ski clothes and have other Burton pants, Mountain Force, Napapijri and Roxy pants. My other Burton's are also a shell but are alot thicker material than these. On the SLOPES These pants are rated 10,000 mm which should be pretty windproof. But at 20 degrees and slight wind, wearing merino long johns underneath I could DEFINITELY feel the breeze, if you know what I mean? DURABILITY Again, the fabric light cotton tropical - might be cute for a coverup at the beach ;) so I am trying to be careful with them. But with no reinforcement near the boots at the bottom of the leg I am sure they will have some rips soon.... FIT I am a size 4-6 and the Medium fit snug, but I do have skier thighs! I would say definitely size up. They have a cute fit, low in the back so need to wear a long jacket or underlayer to "mind the gap" OVERALL Cutest print ever, good spring skiing pants, ok quality given the good price. Stylish!!! But less warmth than a typical shell! ... show more
