Great low price for this crash. It was shipped really fast and sounds great. It’s a nice cross between a crash and splash. It’s thinner than a more expensive cymbal, but that’s what I’d expect for the price. It’s clearly Zildjian quality, which is the best around. I use a mostly electronic kit, with a few acoustic elements, so I guess you could say it’s a hybrid. This is a nice addition. I also have a Zildjian K-splash and Zil-Bel. As others have noted -- this is not an expensive cymbal. Given that, you shouldn't be too surprised if it cracks after a couple of years. Mine has nearly made it three years, but the crack slowly working its way from the center out to the edge has forced me to order a replacement. No issues with the sound. I've played mostly "A" Zildjians my whole life. I was looking for a trash crash and the ones I found locally either didn't have the sound I wanted or were too expensive. This is the first cymbal I've bought online without listening to it first-I figured since it's returnable I'd take a chance. Very glad I did! Looks great and more importantly sounds great! Tone is in between my 16'" thin crash "A" and my 18" dark crash Sabian HHX. Plus it has the rough trashy sound--nice contrasting effect. This is also the first cymbal I've ever bought that was in the original factory bag from Zildjian. Nice. I do wish Amazon had packed it better--mine arrived without problems but they literally just put the cymbal in a 2 foot x 3 foot x 5 inch box and taped it shut. No padding or packing of any kind. I love the symbol, but I’m amazed that it came through the system in one piece. It was stashed in a huge box with absolutely no packaging insulation so it was able to freely bang around in the box It look like someone had to the top open to peek inside. It’s very bright. Might need some accommodations in your drum set to feel comfortable with this. I only use it for accents, definitely not one of my main crashes. It’s way too bright and high pitched. Not sounding good to me.
