We love our hopper/ wagon. We have put about 20 miles on it so far. We did upgrade the tires with there tire kit. We put cooler and fishing poles in it so bigger footprint helps where we go.

The Burley Hopper is one of those products that’s more useful than I expected. What first attracted me was the idea of having something that could pull double duty—and that versatility is really where it shines. The storage space feels surprisingly generous for the compact footprint. The rigid floor makes a bigger difference than I expected because bags, groceries, sports gear, picnic supplies, or bulky items don’t sag or shift around the way they do in soft wagons. It feels premium from a quality standpoint. SUPER solid! The interior material feels durable and easier to wipe clean after hauling everyday messes, and the overall construction gives confidence whether you’re using it behind a bike or pushing it as a wagon. We've used it for everything from getting groceries from the car into the house and hauling mulch. It's versatile! As a stroller wagon, it’s easy to maneuver and the parking brake is a feature you don’t realize you need until you stop on even a slight incline and everything stays put. Small detail, big quality-of-life improvement. Just ask my dog who loves to ride in it! What I like most is that it doesn’t feel like a one-purpose purchase. It can be used for walks, groceries, park days, etc. It doesn't take up a ton of room in the garage - my fiance HATES when I buy stuff that has to be stored in the garage but he stopped grumbling when he saw how easy it is to collapse he stopped grumbling. My office is a 3 minute drive from home, but I have to carry a laptop, water bottle, purse, etc., so I haven't been able to ride a bike. Now I can if I want to, and it's easy enough to attach to the bike for me to do it in minutes. Overall, if you want something that’s well-built, versatile, compact to store, and thoughtfully designed, the Burley Hopper feels like one of those products that you'll wish you had a lot sooner.

This trailer is GREAT. Compatible with the Tern GSD, and can hold all my kids' stuff. We used it to get down to the beach for our inaugural wagon trip & it fit 3 folding chairs, an umbrella, 2 large tote bags, and 1 six-year old (with some stuff stacked on top of him). This is a very enthusiastic 4-star review – it is great at what it does, but has a few cons that hold it back from being a stroller replacement. Pros: - Can use it as a bike trailer, and then have a place for my toddler a place to sit when we get to our destination. (e.g zoo) - In wagon mode, it feels very sturdy & maneuverable. - Can fit a 6 year old & 2 year old in it comfortably. - Can carry SO MUCH STUFF Cons: - It is long, so it had a wide turn radius – it probably won't work in most NYC grocery stores, but can navigate the sidewalks with ease. - Heavy - not something you'll want to take up/down your walkup stairs every day, but great for weekend trips & schlepping lots of stuff.

This is an awesome wagon / trailer! We’ve used it as a bike trailer to take our son to the park (note, he rode in a bike seat, not the trailer, while Burley explicitly warns against) and brought all our picnic necessities in the Hopper. It was easy to attach to the bike with the included hardware. I love how easy and quick it is to convert to a four wheeled wagon with just the press of a couple buttons to deploy the front wheels, then click in the handlebar. The build quality of the wagon is top notch. Nice heavy duty materials and collapsing mechanism. It the rear wheels are removed with the simple press of the center hub, you just collapse the the metal frame and it doesn’t take up too much space in the car. I actually don’t even bother to collapse it and just load stuff in the wagon and throw it into the car. I purchased the child seat and canopy and makes for a pretty cool right for our son. It’s easy to maneuver with the handlebar. My only complaint was some deep scratches from the trailer arm/ handlebar making contact with the black metal frame from contact during shipping. Also, I’m not sure if this is normal, but my handle bar does not sit perfectly level. It is slightly downward sloped to the left when looking from the rear. Despite these issues, I still love this thing.

I recently ordered the Burley Hopper Compact Cargo Bike Trailer & Stroller Wagon from the Burley Design Store on Amazon, and I could not be happier with my decision. From the moment it arrived, I could immediately tell this product was built with quality and durability in mind. First, the shipping was decent and my order arrived in just four days, which was faster than I expected considering the size of the package. Everything was packaged securely and arrived in perfect condition. What really impressed me most is how versatile and well-designed this trailer wagon is. The spacious storage area easily handles groceries, gear, and other cargo without feeling cramped. The rigid floor adds excellent support, so heavier items stay stable during transport instead of sagging like cheaper trailers tend to do. The interior material also feels very durable and easy to clean, which is a huge plus for long-term use. The parking brake is another feature I truly appreciate A LOT. I am a huge fan of Burley products, and so far, this one is just as amazing. I also own a shopping cart/rack style (called the Travoy) and just like the Travoy, the Hopper can convert from a stand-alone with its own handle, or it can be attached to a bike. I love and fully take advantage of this versatility. I don't notice or feel the hopper behind me when I'm biking, although of course I keep in mind that I have extra weight behind me when I'm going down steep hills. I have put kids in the back and pulled them just for fun, and when that kind of weight is back there, yes, it's harder to get started and stop but it's a very smooth ride. It can fit two kids comfortably. I've also put my camera back there but when I do, I put a lot of padding around it for vibrations. The floor is sturdy and strong so it can take kids, groceries, etc, no problem. I add a pillow if they want something to sit on to soften their ride. This is my top choice for a bike trailer, after using first the Travoy, then the Hopper for different needs. I should mention I am and avid and experienced cyclist and have been thinking about buying this hopper for over 10 years now. So glad I finally bought a Burley bike cargo carrier!

The Burley Hopper is a very practical cargo trailer for families, errands, park days, farmers market trips, and general bike-based hauling. The compact size makes it easier to manage than larger cargo trailers, while the spacious interior still offers useful room for groceries, bags, picnic gear, kids' items, or camera and outdoor equipment. The rigid floor is one of the better design choices because it keeps cargo supported instead of sagging into the fabric bottom. However, it is also felt-lined so it holds onto said dirt and dust. Build quality feels solid and purpose-built, with a durable interior that should hold up well to regular loading and unloading. The wagon/stroller functionality adds a lot of value because it can be detached from the bike and used around town, at events, or on paths where walking makes more sense. The parking brake is also an important feature when using it as a stroller wagon, especially when stopped on slight slopes or while loading gear. I find without it, a typical wagon often can roll into the car or into the street when on a typical sloped driveway. The main limitation is that, like most multi-use trailers, it is still something that takes a little storage space and setup compared with a simple bike rack or pannier system. Also it will take up a significant amount of space in your trunk and back seat, forget all the stuff you plan on putting in there. It takes maybe 5 minutes to setup back into compact form if you don't rush. 3 once you get used to it. 2 if you rush. 1 if you just take off the big wheels and shove it into your truck, van or SUV without collapsing or removing wheels while taking off the handle. For anyone wanting one product that can haul cargo by bike and then function as a compact wagon off the bike, this is a well-designed and versatile option. Note also 15 MPH speed limit with trailer. Overall, it feels like a strong fit for active families, urban errands, and car-light trips where flexible cargo space matters.
