Was a little reluctant to order from a brand I wasn't familiar with, but the fact that it has the Seiko NH35 in it made it easier to pull the trigger. I formerly owned a Rolex DateJust, and missed having it in my collection, but definitely was not about to go spend Rolex money on that sort of watch again. After a couple months of ownership, I've been very happy with this Burei. It looks great on the wrist, especially with an aftermarket strap. I think the most interesting thing is the quality of the gemstones in it. I was expecting much worse finishing, and it simply is much better than I expected. Would buy again.

I've been on the hunt for Rolex Datejust homage watches for quite awhile now. I wanted a versatile dress watch around 36mm that doesn't break the bank. In consideration were couple of Seiko 5s, Orient President and other brands but they are now harder to find and overpriced. I found couple of cheaper quartz watches but wanted to get an automatic and that is when I ran into Burei. On the sheet, the watch promises exceptional specs for its price. Sapphire crystal and Miyota movement (generally very reliable) sounded almost too good to be true. I was bit skeptical ordering this watch but after reading the reviews, decided to try as this seemed to fit the bill with what I was looking for. I've had the watch for couple of days now and I’m blown away by both quality and the looks. There’s a substantial weight to the watch and bracelet. Polishing is done well enough to give it classy look. Adjusting the bracelet is fairly easy especially if they include the bracelet adjustment tool. Note that bracelet does seem to run quite big so it should be able to accommodate people with bigger wrists. One downside I suppose would be the lack of lume but you wouldn’t want that on a dress watch to begin with so I don’t see that as much of an issue. In my opinion, this is the best bang for your buck when it comes to datejust homage watch. I will definitely look out for more products from Burei in the future.

The watch is great. It is stylish, sleek, and goes great with a ton of outfits without really breaking the bank. You really can’t beat this watch for the price, as a noob to watch collecting I saw this and thought you can’t get an automatic watch for this cheap, but I guess I was wrong because it’s 100% automatic no battery. It’s water resistant, automatic, and all just for 145 dollars. This watch is for those of us that want a reliable watch that looks great in all situations, doesn’t hurt your wallet, and if you’re wanting to get into watch collecting. Great homage to a Rolex Perpetual Datejust that you really can’t beat for the price. I might get another one!

This watch was purchased after watching/reading a few different online reviews; along with some general research on the company. The price point was reasonable; and the reviews regarding quality were consistent with the item received. The watch is well constructed; and the weight is adequate, and appropriate, for the wrist. A few links needed to be removed; and the watch came with the tool necessary to achieve the band adjustment without any major hassle. The watch isn't bulky; and wears as classic and stately in appearance. The brushed steel-like feel of the watch casing, and portions of the band links, are a nice touch; which also set it apart from similar styles that carry an all-around smooth appearance. The band is two-tone. The plating on the version of the watch I purchased doesn't reach around to the back portion of each link; but simply covers the more visible areas. (It's not a deal-breaker though. It's more of a preference factor.) As of this review, all watch hands, and the date feature, are working as set; and the watch itself wears well on a day-to-day basis. Only time will tell as to how well it will hold up. As of now, its entered the fray of my day-to-day life gracefully so-to-speak. This watch is of very poor quality because It consistently looses time. At first I thought because it's an automatic that I wasn't active enough, so I also wound it up periodically. It still lost time during the day. I've had cheaper waitches that kept much better time. It has a nice appearance. I made a big mistake in purchasing it. I'm writing a follow up review. The seller indicated they would replace this BUREI automatic watch, which is not cheap. They have failed to respond after that 1st email. I have had over thirty watches in my life and non has kept time as poorly as this watch. What do I have to do to get a quality replacement?

I was excited to have another mechanical watch to complement some others I have. Unfortunately was disappointed in the Quality Control issues found on the watch I have received. Unfortunately the Bezel was not correctly positioned, I do not have OCD to the extreme but this would bother anyone looking at it multiple times a day. The Date view window was also incorrectly applied to the Crystal in an incorrect position as well. I have other Japaneses movement watches and this just does not seem to be the case with this watch, although I could be wrong on this assumption. The bracelet should be a bit more substantial as well. But this is a picky note on my end Overall it is a nice looking watch other than the issues noted.

I now have three Automatic BUREI. I've been a watch collector for over 40 years . I'm tired of replacing batteries in some of the watches I own. Seems like every time I'm in the mood to wear one the darn battery is dead. For the money BUREI watches are great buy for the price. I may buy another.
