I purchased this Bunn coffee maker for 3 reasons: 1. It has a metal reservoir. 2. It brews quickly (we are a caff/decaf mixed household so it allows separate brews in the morning) and 3. It is made in the USA. If your motivations align with the above, you will be happy with your purchase as those pros outweigh the negatives, all of which stem from any prior experience you’ve had with a typical drip coffee maker. The design of the filter basket is why the brew cycle is shorter. Rather than the typical gasket/spring arrangement, the Bunn basket has a simple hole that allows the water to filter through the basket quickly. This not only speeds up the process, but because the grinds are not swimming in water for any length of time, I noticed that the coffee is less bitter and I could almost go without my normal cream. HOWEVER, it does require that you use a fine grind coffee and you actually use a tablespoon for each cup of water. Essentially, I had to upgrade my coffee and double the amount that I use. I also found that the decaf coffee was weaker than the regular coffee even with using the full recommended number of Tablespoons. I was able to equalize it by using 2 coffee filters to slightly slow down the drip without adding bitterness, and yes, use the Bunn filters. They are just a bit taller. Some people objected to the water heater running when not in use. I compromise and turn the water heater off after all the morning coffees have been brewed and turn it on again in the evening when I would normally be setting up my older auto brew drip coffee maker. The set up is clear in the “quick” set up instruction, regular instructions, and taped warnings on the unit itself to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you plug it in. The water reservoir needs to be filled completely before you plug it in. The pour spout on the carafe is a bit odd looking, but it works, so not an issue. All in all I am satisfied with this coffee maker. With the correct grinds, it produces hot, smooth coffee and it looks good on the counter😊 ... show more

This is the first Bunn coffee maker we have owned. We have used other major brands for over twenty years. But, while on vacation we had the opportunity to use a Bunn to make coffee for a large group of people over several days. And we were sold. Upon arriving home and doing a bit of research, we purchased this "BUNN CSB2B Speed Brew Elite 10-Cup Coffee Maker" and have never looked back. It brews the coffee at the right temperature for the best flavor and it brews it fast (i.e., around four minutes)! The only drawback, if you can all it that, is that there is no way to set a timer to have the coffee ready when you wake up in the morning. This may be a small inconvenience, but from the research I have done, allowing your ground coffee to set in the open air all night robs the coffee of much of its flavor anyway. So, it is only a drawback if you are willing to give us a good bit of taste for a little bit of convenience. In addition to all of this, Bunn has a good reputation and provides a 3-year warranty. So far, wow! I was unsure as to whether or not I would like how this coffee maker functions but I have to say that after only a couple of days of use, the functionality has grown on me and has made me wonder where it’s been my whole life. Simple and effective, it’s a game changer as far as speed and brewing capabilities are concerned. A full, 10 cup pot brewed in literally under 4 minutes. Not only that, but it’s some of the tastiest electric drip coffee I’ve ever had at home. It brews a really good cup paired with a good grinder. I use the Fellow Ode Gen2. I love that perfect temperature water is always at the ready to quickly make up a batch of coffee. I’d buy this all over again for sure. However, it costs $139.99 USD as of this writing. Do I believe it’s a coffee maker worth that kind of money? Initially I would have said no and that it’s crazy talk to even consider it but now that I’ve used it and tasted the resulting, delicious, coffee, this machine is worth every penny. If you are in the market for a new coffee machine and if this is within your budget and you’re on the fence about the purchase, just do it. It’s a good machine that makes good coffee. ... show more

I have had numerous Bunn coffee makers like this. Buyers beware: take out the coffee grounds BEFORE pouring the coffee. The drip from the coffee hopper will form a coffee film on the warmer, that eventually turns to crust and the warmer will then NOT keep the coffee hot. Also, unit has little or no light indicating the warmer is on, which is an improvement that Bunn needs to make. LARGE RED LIGHT THAT WARMER IS ON should be installed. Some models have a small light blue light for the warmer but it can barely be seen. Good coffee pot and it makes coffee fast but needs improvement on safety features. ... show more

I’ve always Bought Bunn coffee makers. My water is a little hard but they still hold up pretty good if they’re cleaned out regularly basis, I’d like this particular model because the pot handle is nice and beefy and it’s also good, looking compared to some of the other Bunn coffee makers.

Bought my first Bunn Speed Brew in 2018 and fell in love. Last week it developed a small leak so time to replace it with...another Speed Brew! Awesome coffee maker. :) A couple of tips: 1. Leave the heater on 24/7 (not the pot warmer on the front but the power button on the side for the water heater) 2. Fill the pot to the brim with cold water before pouring it into the machine since some of the hot water inside will evaporate over time. If the resulting coffee goes over the 10-cup mark on the pot, adjust the fill amount as necessary for future pots to make a full 10 cups (or to your preference). ... show more
