This watch band can have full or half links taken out. This is great for my girlfriend who has a smaller wrists. And if the women you are buying this for is smaller it won’t look huge on her.

Just to start I will not be returning the watch but......It's a pretty watch but I do have a few issues with it. First the band, it’s a very light weight band I really don't believe its stainless steel. I have lots of watches and it certainly does not have the feel of a stainless steel band. It’s more like an aluminum band with a coating to make it look like a stainless steel band. On the back of the watch it has text that reads "Japan movement, China band" I'm not sure entirely what that means but the band certainly feels cheap. As I have said it does not have the weight or feel of other Bulova's I own. The look of the band might impress for a while but I don't believe the shine and polish is going to hold up. Second the dial. I bought the white mother of pearl and yup it does not show very well compared to other mother of pearl watches I own. I really don't even know if its mother of pearl but it does have the multi-color of a mother of pearl face it’s just not pronounced. Third the white face does not have the Bulova tuning fork it looks like the black face watch does have the fork but since I did not buy that one I can’t confirm. I have read that Bulova is not putting the fork on all the watches they make which is a mistake on Bulova's part since it is the icon symbol people recognize. As I started out this review I will be keeping it since it will not be an everyday watch more of dress watch that I will wear a few times a year. From a distance it’s a pretty watch it’s the up close part that bothers me. I don't believe this is a 180 dollar watch more like a 50 dollar Timex and if you are considering spending 180 I would consider looking at other options. ... show more
