    • Setting the day and date.

I've worn watches all my life like this. I've had numerous brands thru the years. Setting the day and date is similar on all sweep hand watches. You can go to the website but it's really not necessary. On this one, the day of the week once set and the battery doesn't die should only be set rarely. You simply pull the crown and spin it around and around clockwise until the day you want appears. The date will have to be set more often on odd month's and is quicker to do. You turn the crown clockwise where it clicks over after 12 AM then back it up counter clockwise to around 10 then back past 12, back and forth until the correct date appears. Then as you'll most likely set it during the day, after everything looks good you turn clockwise to the correct time that day. Push the crown back in and your all set. I would suggest doing the day first as the dates might be off spinning it around getting that set, then do the date quickly back and forth until it lines up correct. I was lucky with mine as it was the 20th and the watch date was on the 3rd so spinning it around to set the day didn't matter as the date also was clicking by. After the day was set I only had to go back and forth on the date 5 or 6 times to get up to the 20th. Bottom line the website might explain it better but that's what I did and it only took me a minute or two. As far as a Bulova, hey unless you are prepared to spend the sky as a limit on a watch, Bulova ranks right up there in quality and accuracy. It is something to be proud of for anyone like me that wears a watch all the time. For a guy a good watch a nice pair of glasses,wallet and a quality belt are the few things you use alot. We bought this as a gift for a special birthday. He really liked the gift and it will be treasured for a long time. The only thing I would mention is we wanted to engraved and it was a huge challenge because there is wording already on the backside of the watch. Nice looking watch. Bulova is my favorite brand, Ive had a few. A bit lighter than the other styles Ive had which is actually a good thing. Im not into bulky watches as I grow older and more conservative. Thanks!

For about 8 or 9 years the watch I had looked like a Rolex watch with day spelled at top and dated at 3 with magnifying glass. The watch was not Rolex just look like one. However, it started given me issues and in the shop it went for repairs. Meanwhile my back up watches did not have the look of the Rolex outlay and I began to search for a nice backup similar to the one in the shop. I found several but decided on the Bulova with blue face. I have had this watch for two weeks and so for I really like the watch. It seems to keep perfect time even to the second compared to my cable box. The band was huge and a inch and half length taken out. The band better than what I was expecting and really like the band. The blue surface is outstanding to look at. The day at the top is easy to read not quite was big as other watch but OK. The day at 3 is very small. If it had a magnifying glass it would be really nice to see the number better. My other watch is still in the shop and should be getting it soon. However, this new time peace just may be my new everyday watch even when the other gets out of the shop. Using the cliche only time will tell how well this new watch will keep time. Watch is crazy accurate. Nice! But wow the date could really use a magnification bubble. Even the day can't be read with out my glasses. No real lume for night reading. There may be enough lume on the hour and minute hands, but if so it's so minimal I can't see it. Readying this in the daytime is fine and accurate. My husband retired after 30+ years at his job. Company doesn't do much for a retirement, so I found this watch. I had his daughter get it engraved, and it turned out super! He's picky, but enjoyed it, and we are starting to get her to accept she's a very important part of our lives.
