I was looking for a white face, stainless case, brown leather band dress watch and had this one on my radar for awhile. I was hesitant to buy it online because I wasn't sure about the rose gold accents. I happened to see it in person at a department store and tried it on. It looked great! The rose gold is very subtle and adds a nice elegant look to the watch. I pulled the trigger and ordered it the next day on Amazon (saved about 30% compared to the dept. store too). The watch arrived within three days, very fast service. It was packaged well, new in original box with manual, etc. I am very happy with the purchase. The face has a nice bright white color and a subtle striated pattern radiating from the center towards the edge. The rose gold trim is only on the top surface of the stainless case so it is not overstated and really looks nice. The date window is small and really not needed as far as I'm concerned (I can't see it without reading glasses anyway). The leather band has an alligator pattern to it and looks expensive. However, it is very thin leather and I feel it will wear easily and eventually break where it bends at the buckle. We'll just have to see but I'm not too concerned because the price easily allows you to purchase a new band and still have a great value in this watch! ... show more

So you want a simple watch at a simple price point. You've gone online and looked at: Leonard & Church, Daniel Wellington, Brathwait, MVMT and maybe a few others. You see you can pay a price point as low as $100 and cont' on up to over $300 ++. I did buy one of the previous mentioned watches, it was a handsome watch for sure, but it screams "I look pretty and I'm on a website full of beautiful people, I must make you feel you are worth it!"..... Ok, let's get real, if I could justify redistributing my wealth, I'd buy at a minimum the Rolex Cellini or something even more exclusive. But because I'm just like the average joe who realizes they need a grown up dress watch, I don't need to "Show My Class, Like an Ass". So here I'm at my favorite retailer, AMAZON and I'm doing the 'filter' thing and I come across this Bulova watch.... Didn't my grandfather have great pride in his "Accutron" watch by Bulova back in 1963 and here's that same classic look for all of $87 by Bulova today in 2016. I picked it up with free Prime delivery and it arrives 2 days later. My first impression.... Simple and just what I was looking for dressing up my wrist, with out trying to make any more of a statement than: "This watch looks good on me and with what I'm wearing."... The one con: I'm going to have to buy a better quality band, the one it came with will let me enjoy it right away, but I don't believe it will last more than a year or so. So understanding that yes, the rich do have their philanthropic duty to purchase $25,000 dollar watches, I on the other hand look just as good in my Grand Fathers Bulova..... Anyone want to go to Dairy Queen tonight for a tasty treat? ... show more

Update Jan-28-2015: This is the only time I have come back to post an update on a review. I am upgrading my review to 5 stars. Several solid months later this is just as beautiful as day 1. I ordered black lizard and tan/brown alligator straps from Amazon. It looks a lot more expensive than it is especially with the addition of a nice band. Original review.. This is a really beautiful watch. I had originally ordered another watch by another manufacturer that showed a beautiful soft white face and a rich brown leather strap. When it arrived it had a yellow face and a yellow-orange brown leather strap leaving me frantically scrambling at the very last minute for a gift. After going back & forth with amazon cs I was able to order this as replacement and returned the other one. This was everything I had hoped for - a stylish, simple watch that can be dressed up or down. It is true that it does not have the Bulova logo but Bulova originally started without that logo, only with 'Bulova' printed on their watch faces so I don't mind. This seems like a throwback to their origin. Only issue I have is with the watch strap which is not up to the caliber of the watch face itself as the faux crocodile embossed strap feels & looks somewhat cheap. A simple brown band may have been better in this case but that is easily remedied. I just ordered some other straps so we can switch it. The person this is for is thrilled with it, we got it in time and I am appreciative of amazon's customer service for helping me get the gift on time. ... show more

A nice - looking piece of men's jewelry at a reasonable price. Not quite what you'd call elegant, but considering the overpricing of quartz dress watches in general, hard to do much better for the money. Accurate but not "precise", as there are no intermediate minute marks, thus watch will read "about 5:03". Nice and thin, but looks larger than the 37mm case diameter, as the bezel is narrow, leaving a broad face, pushing the limit for my narrow wrist. Nice and lightweight. You can get much more function with a Timex "easy reader" (minute marks, indiglo light, 10-year battery) for less than half the price, but without the dressiness or thinness of the Bulova. As other reviewers have said, Bulova's deletion of the tuning-fork logo on the face dimishes it's classiness a little. ... show more
