All sources of NAC seem similar. This is quality at a low price. All NAC sources DO deliver unbound acetic acid that I wish I could avoid. If you are making GLYNAC, ignore the 600 mg recommended dose. The studies translate to 8 grams of each per day for an adult human. There are no other dietary sources of NAC, but one CAN subtract the glycine one gets from TMG or from collagen peptides. Be sure that your vitamin C is sufficient because deficiency can cause NAC to be excreted as cystine. If you take Tylenol, your liver would appreciate a higher dosage.

I got the powder to mix into drinks and easily up the dosage w/ NAC's low bioavailability. It tastes like extra strength sour patch kids. If you go with powder you might want to mix with something like a greek yogurt.

It was 'suggested' -by a locally renowned psychiatrist- that I take NAC many years ago when I was suffering depression after a long term battle with Opioids and Alcoholism, I had tried every antidepressant medication that he and other Doctors I had seen had in their arsenal. It took some time into my recovery before I actually attempted to remember what it was called, (Yes I was that bad) I even had to call the Doc's office -to no avail- who it turned out had since retired, I did eventually, through my own research come across the name of this wonderful gem of a supplement and EUREKA!! It all came flooding back! I 'flew' to the local health food store (such was my desperation) and paid out the wazoo for some in capsule form and was shocked at how much of a difference it made. There are reviews here abound where you can read about the chemical mechanics of what it is/does so I'll stick with the results: It made a HUGE difference to how I feel! No more slumping around the house with a lack of motivation, alternatively feeling sorry for myself and hating myself for the pain I've caused my loved ones in my disease; I had an elevated spirit, fantastic mood and energy galore! That was many years ago, and I have kept this in my repertoire of healthy habits ever since and have never had a 'bad day' of depression since. It got expensive though and with all those fillers in the capsules you never know what you're getting so I sought out the actual NAC by itself which is how I came to this company, I buy all my supplements from them now and have thus far never been disappointed. My wife of 20 years who has been on this journey with me, is also in recovery, it was she in fact who got me to first explore the necessity of supplementing our diets with what should normally be in foods we eat but because of the worlds imperfection, our damaged eco-system and a ton of other factors far too numerous to write in here, plants no longer contain the nutrients sufficient for us nor do animals who eat plants etc etc et cetera, well SHE -back to my wife- swears by NAC too, never misses a day taking it, so you can imagine it gets expensive and we ARE NOT rich, far from it, but we figure as should you that having any success in life starts with your health so in our search for the best bang for our buck, quality product at a great price brought us to Bulk Supplements, they have been great to us since we started buying their product; I encourage you to at least consider going with Amazon Prime too if you're in a hurry for your stuff, it didn't take us long to tally up the cost of shipping versus the membership fee and while it does leave something to be desired the video and music subscriptions -and a few other things- are an added bonus. Try NAC it will work wonders for you unless you are a very rare specimen with perfect body/brain chemistry which I find, frankly, highly unlikely...

Too early to know if it works but make sure you dilute. I decided to put powder directly in my mouth and it was terrible. Very tart/sour with a citrus aftertaste. Made my tongue actually numb

The media could not be loaded. I just received my package today, only to find a sticky piece of black goo inside upon opening it. This is completely unacceptable. I purchased this supplement to support my liver health—not to compromise it. Quality control should be a priority, and this experience is beyond disappointing. To anyone considering this product, be cautious—this is not the standard you would expect for a health supplement.

I've had sinus problems for most of my life. They were constantly clogged with thick immovable mucus. Breathing was never easy and I was usually a mouth breather. "Just blow your nose" never worked. It was like silly putty in there. Over the past year or so I developed tinnitus and I suspect it's related to my sinus problems. Then I randomly heard about NAC and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I've only been using it for the past couple of weeks but I feel completely different. I have more energy and a much more positive attitude, mainly because I can breathe properly now. I can breathe in my sleep, which was difficult for me for years. I would wake up feeling drained because I wasn't getting enough oxygen through the night. Now I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go even if I haven't had a full 8 hours. Slowly but surely I can feel the pressure in my head subsiding and I think my tinnitus is slowly going away. Although I still experience it, it tends to go away from time to time. I hope it will go away completely at some point. I chose pure NAC because I didn't want any additives that are normally found in pills, mainly stearates. I scoop out about 800 g - 1000 g and mix it with about 3 oz of water and shoot it back. The taste is kind of like sulfury citric acid. Not too bad but not pleasant. It's not a big deal and I just wash it down with some more water. I don't have any side effects now but the first few times I took it I got an upset stomach and some pressure in my head. This doesn't happen anymore. I guess I'm just accustomed to it now. The pressure was probably mucus breaking up. Another side effect that only happed in the first few days was mucus in my lungs would break up and ot made it difficult to breathe for a bit. This was concerning but now it never happens. I guess it was mucus in my lungs breaking up. All in all, NAC has been a minor miracle for me. I can breathe now and feel so much better. If you have sinus problems, you should definitely give NAC a try.

I take quite a few supplements. Tend to purchase bulk powders when the option is available. I'm not going to give a write-up of what NAC is used for, but if you are looking for NAC, this stuff works and the price is right. I take it every morning as part of my am stack. Occasionally twice a day, if the day is a rough one. It is aromatic, so I suggest putting it in capsules. Highly recommended.
