Bought this for my 5yo who struggles to unbuckle his 5pt harness. We installed it (which is super easy just slides over crotch strap) and showed him how to position it (should it slide to one side or the other) and he was so proud of himself when he was able to unbuckle without help. It saves us and our backs from having to climb into the back of the SUV to do it for him. We did make sure to go over safety rules of not messing with the Bucklebee while the car was in motion and to only unbuckle when told to by an adult. If you didn't feel comfortable attaching this to the car seat though I think a 5yo would be able to attach themselves if you wanted to hand it to them (we haven't tested that part out yet) Would definitely recommend this product to everyone!

I have acrylics and my mortal enemy was trying to get my baby out of the car seat! This tool was game changing! Whether you have long nails or weak thumbs I would recommend this! My parents love it because it helps them get her out of the seat too! Honestly I wish I had This when my son was younger! Takes the struggle away so easily! 10/10 recommend!

This is a great item. The "button" on the car seat was very hard to push in, I had a hard time doing it. No way grandson could. I ordered one for my car to see if it worked and man did it ever. Ordered second one for my sons car. Big help when it is pouring rain outside and he is able to get unbuckled and ready to get out of car.

Absolutely love this lifesaver product. Kiddo was old enough to be trusted not to unbuckle without permission but has little hands that weren’t strong enough to pop open the main buckle. This lets her get out of her five point harness seat by herself once we are safely stopped at our destination which solves a lot of headache I didn’t realize I had until it was gone. I wouldn’t recommend it for toddlers until they can be trusted not to play with it while the car is moving. If the adult needs the product (arthritis, low hand mobility, grandparents) it’s fairly easy to install and uninstall so you could easily stash it in a cup holder or diaper bag away from the child’s reach and slip it into place when you need to use it.

As we approach kindergarten with my five year old I knew I needed something to help us with the car line! The product clipped in easily, and my daughter (who is a small five year old) was able to unbuckle herself easily. The best part was watching how proud she was of herself and how "strong" she is. I would only recommend this for children who are responsible enough to understand when it is appropriate to unbuckle.

This is nothing short of life changing. I just switched to the big girl car seat from the infant one and for some reason the buckle is much harder to undo. When I say I was literally straining my hand and it was cramping just trying to get the buckle undone.
