Great quality, easy to install, and durable. We bought this some time ago and I waited to review to see about durability mostly. It has held up very well. We bought it for our 4 year old daughter so she could unbuckle by herself. She wasn't able to do it for the first few months, but even still, it made it easier for me to unbuckle her. She has finally figured it out and loves the freedom of not having to wait for us to unbuckle her. Oh my goodness the bucklebee is a lifesaver! My 5 year old is unable to release the bottom buckle of the car seat on her own. We went thru 3 unbuckle devices from a different brand in 6 months. Each breaking after a couple months of use. Today was just the first two times using Bucklebee and I can already tell this unbuckler is far more functional and worth the cost. My 5 year old said tonight she loves it a lot more than the other brand we had. I especially love how it sits attached to the car seat while not in use! The action to release the buckle with bucklebee is very intentional. The buckle is not coming open on accident. No worries regarding safety here. I’m also not hunting in the backseat for a device. A lost unbuckle aid defeats the entire purpose of making a child more independent! I wish there were more colors but the blue is cute. I don’t imagine this device will break anytime soon but we may buy another for my next kid in a 5 point harness or for grandparent cars.

There are different types of unbuckler products. We’ve tried them all. This is the easiest to operate for kids and the sturdiest that will not break. It attaches to the belt and can stay there so they don’t drop or lose it. And seriously it’s solid. The other unbucklers (the little pinchy-style ones) that come in different colors are cute, but harder to attach on the buckler to use and we’ve broken At least 4 of them. And my kid is in the 1 percentile so she is absolutely not strong by any means but she’s broken 3 of them. A small underweight developmentally behind 2 year old foster kid broke a fourth one before I found out these existed. The other styles are bulkier and take up a full car seat cup holder or get knocked down when the kids are going in/out to where they cannot reach the buckler to use it defeating the purpose of them having it to be self-sufficient. This is by far a superior product. Great gift. Every parent should have this. The confidence and independence it gives my little petite child is priceless plus it makes school drop off a breeze.

Maybe it’s my car seat, but this thing still requires a ton of effort by my 5 year old sometimes to unbuckle her car seat. That said, she was getting herself out 0% of the time before this thing sooo it’s still pretty useful.

The media could not be loaded. This little gadget is really wonderful! No more twisting around to unbuckle my tiny 5 year old at school drop off. She also feels so confident at being a « big girl ». Easy to install, and use. Nice thick plastic and definitely worth every penny. I picked gray to fit with our car seat.

I started using this when my daughter turned 4. I had just switched her to forward facing and I couldn’t reach her for school drop off since she’s in the backseat opposite side. After some training and with the help of this tool, she unbuckles herself every day. I say it’s great for responsible kids because I just leave it attached and she would never unbuckle her seat except for when I say “unbuckle” once we have arrived some where. For my son on the other hand, he’s only 2 but not quite sure I’ll use this with him - lol. I do wish they were more affordable but they are used daily so it is worth it.
