  • “High-quality LED strips with amazing colors!”
Size: 2 Pack 8X32 256 Pixels
The BTF-LIGHTING WS2812B ECO RGB strips are fantastic. The colors are bright, vivid, and smooth, with no flickering or dead pixels. I love how easy they are to cut, solder, and install — the flexible design and adhesive backing make setup simple. The ECO version runs efficiently without sacrificing brightness, which is a big plus. This 2-pack was the perfect size for my project, and both strips worked flawlessly right out of the box. Excellent quality, great value, and perfect for any DIY lighting setup. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Very bright, reliable, consistent performance from panel to panel.
Size: 2 Pack 8X32 256 Pixels
These panels work as advertised. The brightness and color is consistent from panel to panel so many panels can be mounted next to each other to create larger seamless displays. I have never had one of these panels fail after years of use. These panels are a bit too bright for my projects so I must turn down the intensity at the expense of color dynamic range. It would be nice to use the APA series of addressable LEDs for this reason as they have a 4-bit intensity register while still using the full 24-bit color range, but such panels are expensive and hard to find. These work well at a fraction of the cost so I will deal with the brightness and reduced color range by calling it a non-issue because they still look great! ... show more

  • Perfect Balance of Cost and Quality!
Size: 2 Pack 16X16 256 Pixels
I recently got my hands on the BTF-LIGHTING 2 Pack WS2812B ECO RGB Alloy Wire LED Matrix and here's my take on it: Pros: Economical Yet High Quality: This matrix uses alloy wires instead of gold ones, making it significantly cheaper while retaining quality. Great for beginners and small projects. Individually Addressable LEDs: The 16X16 matrix is impressive. With each LED being individually addressable, I had fun playing around with different patterns, messages, and images. Wide Compatibility: I tested this with my Arduino and Raspberry Pi setups, and it worked seamlessly. Having compatibility with a range of controllers like SP107E and K1000C is a bonus. Flexibility: Being able to chain multiple matrices together and bend them around surfaces makes this product versatile for various projects. Detailed Instructions: The product details clearly state the power consumption for various lighting setups, which is crucial to avoid any potential damage or overheating. Cons: Heat Generation: Lighting up all LEDs in white does generate significant heat, as mentioned. So, future users need to be cautious about using the all-white setting. No Power Supply or Controller: Although the matrix is economically priced, it would have been great if it came with a power supply and controller. Tips for Potential Buyers: Compatibility is Key: Ensure you have a compatible controller like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or SP107E for the best experience. Mind the Power: Always keep an eye on the power consumption, especially if you're chaining multiple matrices. DIY Projects: This matrix is perfect for indoor decorations, advertising boards, or party settings. Just be sure to use it indoors as it's IP30 non-waterproof. In conclusion, this LED Matrix from BTF-LIGHTING is an excellent pick for those looking to dabble in LED projects without breaking the bank. The product does have its limitations, but its versatility and cost-effectiveness make it a valuable addition to my DIY toolkit. ... show more

  • Worked Great for Costume!
Size: 2 Pack 8X8 64 Pixels
I bought this to hook up to an arduino and use as eyes for a light up costume. Overall, I thought they worked pretty great! I have found that they can blink a little if the wires are jostled but that was honestly probably my own wiring issue. I also had an issue with the lights looking kind of yellowish whenever I tried to set them to white but that could have also been traced to user error. In general, great lights! They’re surprisingly bright in normal lighting too but can be a little faint in the bright sunlight so just plan accordingly! ... show more

  • They work Beautifully!
Size: 2 Pack 8X8 64 Pixels
I've built fun lighting projects using the WS2812B LED Strips. These are opening up new avenues for creativity. Out of the box, all 64 LED's are bright with even color. At dimmer levels, they demonstrate consistency in brightness level and colors. Using an ATMega328P processor chip for control. The LED's respond perfectly! Currently creating more effects for the final project. Looking forward to the final result! ... show more

  • Works Well, Recommended
Size: 8X32 256 Pixels
It looks good and all pixels work. The pixel order is not what I was expecting, but it does not make any difference to me. I thought it would be in rows (32 pixels) across the display, but it is in columns (8 pixels) from top left to bottom left, over one column from bottom to top, then repeats.

  • Inexpensive, brilliant and works with Raspberry PI even though it "shouldn't"
Size: 16X16 256 Pixels
This was fairly inexpensive and quite easy to get working, also I was able to very quickly get it working with a raspberry pi as the matrix's DIN line doesn't actually require the full 5V that the rest of the matrix needs, the output of the RPI (pin 18 if you're using the defaults for the python rpi-ws281x-matrix-python sample code that in turn uses the rpi-ws281x module) is sufficient at a lowly 3.3 volts even though I'm using it a little out of spec. This worked without a level shifter or a transistor for me. Note that I did need to change the case of one import and remove the x on some xranges to get everything working nicely in python3. Don't forget to connect your external power supply ground to the RPI ground too. ... show more
