These panels work as advertised. The brightness and color is consistent from panel to panel so many panels can be mounted next to each other to create larger seamless displays. I have never had one of these panels fail after years of use. These panels are a bit too bright for my projects so I must turn down the intensity at the expense of color dynamic range. It would be nice to use the APA series of addressable LEDs for this reason as they have a 4-bit intensity register while still using the full 24-bit color range, but such panels are expensive and hard to find. These work well at a fraction of the cost so I will deal with the brightness and reduced color range by calling it a non-issue because they still look great!

I recently got my hands on the BTF-LIGHTING 2 Pack WS2812B ECO RGB Alloy Wire LED Matrix and here's my take on it: Pros: Economical Yet High Quality: This matrix uses alloy wires instead of gold ones, making it significantly cheaper while retaining quality. Great for beginners and small projects. Individually Addressable LEDs: The 16X16 matrix is impressive. With each LED being individually addressable, I had fun playing around with different patterns, messages, and images. Wide Compatibility: I tested this with my Arduino and Raspberry Pi setups, and it worked seamlessly. Having compatibility with a range of controllers like SP107E and K1000C is a bonus. Flexibility: Being able to chain multiple matrices together and bend them around surfaces makes this product versatile for various projects. I bought this to hook up to an arduino and use as eyes for a light up costume. Overall, I thought they worked pretty great! I have found that they can blink a little if the wires are jostled but that was honestly probably my own wiring issue. I also had an issue with the lights looking kind of yellowish whenever I tried to set them to white but that could have also been traced to user error. In general, great lights! They’re surprisingly bright in normal lighting too but can be a little faint in the bright sunlight so just plan accordingly!

I agree with every positive point of previous reviews. This 16-squared matrix is really wonderful! I drive it with an Arduino NANO with FastLED. This setup works great (note the order is GRB): #include <FastLED.h> // How many leds in your matrix? #define NUM_LEDS 256 // Any output pin will do #define DATA_PIN 2 void setup() { FastLED.addLeds<WS2812B, DATA_PIN, GRB>(leds,NUM_LEDS); FastLED.setBrightness(128); // Because I use lots of white, and full brightness white is not recommended } There are no quality issues. Soldering and connections are fine. Input, output and additional wires for adding power are great. One small oops: The back of the matrix used to have 5V, GND and DIN (Data IN) printed on them (I have bought two matrices so far). The new one does not. No big deal, as long as one understands that the enclosed pigtail is for input. The connector gender prevents hooking it up wrong. However, in the description above, the picture that shows INPUT and OUTPUT is a mirror-image of the actual layout. Ignore that picture (until they fix their mistake). God willing, I will pull the rest of my project together, and when I do, this matrix will be my lighting system for thousands of units sold. It is that good! I highly recommend this and every BTF-LIGHTING product I've ever bought.

I've built fun lighting projects using the WS2812B LED Strips. These are opening up new avenues for creativity. Out of the box, all 64 LED's are bright with even color. At dimmer levels, they demonstrate consistency in brightness level and colors. Using an ATMega328P processor chip for control. The LED's respond perfectly! Currently creating more effects for the final project. Looking forward to the final result!
