Had to get this for my daughter's rainbow theme bedroom. It's beautiful and soft. It takes a little time to lay flat, but you can reverse fold it to make it flatten out faster. Her door goes over one corner and it got stuck on it during the first day, but has been going back and forth over it without any problem for a while now that it flattened. She has a pet hamster and if his bedding gets into the carpet, it gets stuck in there a bit, but everything else vacuums up easily. We haven't had any shedding issues, and it's stiff enough to stay put without any additional adhesive. It's slightly padded like the is a thin foam inside of it. It came vacuum sealed and seemed like it wouldn't possibly be as big as it was supposed to be, but it was! I was worried it would smell chemically or something after reading a few reviews that mentioned that, but I didn't notice any odors that didn't disappear within a day or two. Love this rug! I have a dog that sheds black and white fur-fetti and this hides both! So soft on bare feet. Not just boring solid grey so it adds some interesting depth. Perfect! This is a beautiful rug for my daughters room, but it is rather thin and not overly cushiony. It also had a very strong chemical/degassing smell that needed to be released for 36 hours and even then Still had a smell needing the bedroom door to remain open for a couple days too.

This is a beautiful and comfy rug, especially if you live in a colder climate. It is however impossible to clean. I tried vacuuming the other day and almost ruined the rug and my vacuum. One edge is now lifted and won't go down. I thought it could be machine washed but it cannot. So how are we supposed to clean this?
