BSONEDO Double Sided Foam Tape As an ex landlord, I have a love/hate relationship with foam tape. First, the love. This foam tape will attach any non-porous surface to another non-porous surface, and hold securely. Removal will be easy if the tape is properly used. The tape is useful for attaching accent mirrors, small shelves, and even display plates. Second, the hate. Tenants use this tape to attach decorative mirrors, or other items to entire painted walls on sheet rock. The result is a disaster when trying to remove the items. The tape will also remove paint, and the paper cover of the sheet rock along with it. I have had to replace the sheet rock of entire walls as a repair. The foam tape will leave a residue of foam and glue that is extremely difficult to remove. Strong solvents and abrasives are pretty much the only solution. If a decorative mirror square is attached to a surface with this tape, a person should assume that mirror will never be removed in one piece. If the mirror does remove in one piece, patches of the mirror’s silver will probably come off. The question of a rating relies on the diligence of the user to be sure the tape is used as directed. DO NOT apply to a painted surface. Tape removal will result in paint removal also. DO NOT apply to a rough surface, when residual glue and foam, will be unsightly. DO NOT apply to a surface that does not have a solid substrate attachment. Sheet rock is a perfect example of this type of surface. Use this tape to attach items to a smooth, solid, surface that can be vigorously cleaned with abrasives such as scrapers, green scrub sponges, and solvents that may be needed for total removal. Ceramic, vinyl, smooth rock, glass, and metal are good surfaces I have successfully used this tape on. This tape gets a rating of 5 for efficiency, effectiveness, and value for money. The roll format is very convenient when different lengths are needed. Incorrect use by the individual is no reason to lower the rating of this fine product. I strongly recommend not letting children “play” with this tape.

My home office rolling chair rides on top of a semi-hard chair mat. Unfortunately, the edges and particularly, the corners turn up. I needed a solution that would prevent that. This tape fit the bill. I cut a couple of six inch strips, lifted the corners of my mat and applied a strip in each direction. I stood on it for a few seconds and, "Voila!"; problem solved. The tape is just strong enough. I did a quick test and I'm confident that despite its strength, when the time comes, it will come up off of my carpet without a problem. I hope it meets your needs also.

I am used to ordering 3m tape - a brand I trust. I am going to be using this tape to put up some some sound blocking boards up. It doesn't look you get a lot to work with. Also, not sure why it has a strong chemical smell. I opened it to air it out. I will report back if this rating should change. 4 stars for now. One star docked from the smell. Update: There is only one side that covers the tape. Once you pull the tape out for use, you immediately are exposed to one of the sticky sides - just like normal tape I guess. The flaw is this… The tape cover is clear and the tape it self has a shine to it. In order for me to know if both sides were exposed was for me to have to touch it and see if it was sticky. With the 3M tape that I purchased prior, the tape cover was that parchment paper feeling so you can easily see if it was exposed or not. So far, things are holding up so that is great, it was just really hard for me to pull off the cover of each strip I cut.

I used it on the poster in the picture and it works just fine. You cant see the imprint of it underneath. But it is really like foam, as you can see in the first picture. So I wouldn't trust it with anything too heavy, but when you just quickly need a roll of double sided tape it's there. Since it foam like tape, it does feel sturdier that the usual.

Always have use for double sided tape and I like that these are doubled sided adhesive. Unlike other tapes, these don’t seem to leave white residue when removed. That’s really convenient as I am not trying to scrape it off. Good tape that can be used for multiple purposes.

It's nice to be able to have a roll of double sided foam tape around to adhere items to walls etc. This has great adhesive and I like how the foam is thin. I've had this kind of tape before but the foam was always too thick. I have been buying a lot of under cabinet light and placing them anywhere I need light. If I choose to move them, this tape will come in handy.
