This unit actually works as described. I fill my horses 5 gallon buckets with water set unit in bucket, start cleaning barn and within 5 minutes the water is warm. After water warm I pull unit out and unit is not hot like I expected. Wish I had found this unit 25 yrs ago, water buckets are so expensive, my horses/ burros drink while coming up to barn for the night. Water won't stay warm but if your animals drink after warming this is a game changer.Unit extremely well made with size that fits sideways in bottom of 5 gallon bucket.

This was a life saver! I didn't have hot water for 20 days so boiling pots of water to take a bath got really old! This got the bath water so hot that I had to add cold to it to get in! It does take a while to heat a full bath but beats boiling 6 pots of water! I ended up having to buy an extension cord to reach an outlet though since the cord isn't very long.

Ok so at 1st I had left a bad review. MY BAD! I hope it didn't affect the seller. Cause it was my fault that it wasn't working. I didn't realize till yesterday that it was tripping a gfi breaker (or something like that) which is why the thing never warmed the water up! Totally my fault. I ended up connecting it with a very heavy duty extension I have that exceeded the voltage or whatever needed and I had a hole bath tub hot! Which was actually not my intention. You see this was a temp fix to my water heater breaking. And I put this thing inside a bucket. Working properly I knew it could boil that water and I had filled the bathtub too so I could just pour the water right in. Well in 15 minutes it did boil that water in the bucket and since the bucket was in the water it got that water boiling hot as well! It was all bubbly and thankfully I could add a bit of the icy cold water from the snowy state Im in. So yes this thing does heat but you have to have it plugged into the right outlet. Otherwise it will trip the breaker which it is stated that it's a high output! So it's not like this information is hidden. This seller is straight upfront.
