Was looking to add to my bonsai collection and found this listing. The reviews had me apprehensive but it arrived VERY promptly and packaged well that there was no damage done to the plant or pot. It’s been a week so far and the tree is adapting to the new environment well, though we’ll see in the coming weeks if it’ll thrive or not. Definitely recommend to those that understand bonsai and how to take care of them. They are extremely beautiful and healthy, but if not taken care of properly they can easily wither and die. ... show more

I am the type of person that only leaves a review if I am very happy, or very disappointed, and I am happy to say, with Brussel's, it is the former. I have now bought 3 bonsai trees, ranging from 3 to 6 years old, from this company and I am nothing but satisfied. First, all 3 have come within days, while Amazon predicts a week or more, so shipping is fast! They are extremely well packed, soil is still moist, and the trees themselves are beautiful!!!!! No bare twigs with this company! Just be aware of the descriptions because there are indoor AND outdoor bonsai! Thank you Brussels! ... show more

    • Arrived tint & 1/2 dead!
I’ve ordered 7 Bonsai trees from Brussels Bonsai. I’ve had success with 5/7. Those odds are pretty good considering the shock the plant goes through in transport. Being in a dark box for 4-7 days can’t be healthy. 5 of the 7 bonsais I’ve ordered from them are doing so well, I couldn’t be happier! I’ve had some for over 3 years. Unfortunately, one of the casualties was the tree I received most recently. The Chinese sweet plum bonsai tree I received was so tiny. They said 10-14 inches: more like 7 inches. That wouldn’t bother me so much if the tree wasn’t 1/2 dead & on its way to dying. 1/4 of the leaves were in the shipping contents, and within 3 days, another 1/4 of the leaves have dropped or are hardening & about to drop. That’s 1/2 or more in 3 days. The other leaves that are crispy & hard will definitely fall. I’m very disappointed with Brussels. Usually, their trees come in great condition & drop 20-30% of their leaves but they recover within a month or so- this tree doesn’t have a chance. It’s dead! I called Amazon and they were able to provide an alternative resolution which I guess is ok. Other than that, so disappointed! Should be a zero! ... show more

    • Packaged and Shipped Very Well to Protect Plant
The Bonsai tree was about 9 inches tall and 6 inches wide in a pot of about 7 by 6 inches. The tree seems health. The leaves are all still on it after about a month. I have been generally watering every few days. The pot I received was a nice dark blue, which I actually like more than the white pot shown in the pictures. Not sure how many colors of pots they have. They packaged the tree very nicely to protect the tree. And the box was much strong than the typical shipping box. So I was very happy that nothing was broken on the tree or pot. The tree leaves look like the picture they provided so I think it is a plum tree but I won't know for sure until I see a plum. ... show more

BB has their shipping system dialed and most trees have arrived ahead of schedule. Amazon prices are cheaper than their website. Be sure to watch for sales. Bonsai arrived healthy and well packaged. Only downside is of all the bonsai’s I’ve ordered from this company, this one arrived with no plant label. Emailed company received no response.
