Better than a combo machine.
Style: PRS100
This machine does not come with cap driver as standard equipment, not a deal breaker. And if I wanted to do hats I would absolutely spend the extra $1000 or so dollars to do hats… That said it’s equipped very well for doing flats, probably more than, yon’ll ever need. Also despite being one color embroidered at a time, Also not a deal breaker. It’s fairly similar to my very old brother 9 needle industrial embroidery machines, in quality, functionality and reliability. However, This machine is not meant for medium to large production runs. still not a deal breaker. The big plus for me! IS THIS. Compared to the brother combo machines and/or other brand name combinations machines. It’s my opinion that sewing machines and embroidery machines should remain in separated units. Thus you can always be working. I.e., sewing and embroidering at the same time. This machine should be sufficient for Small runs of 3-6 units or less, with stitch counts of 4-5k stitches or less, is probably ideal especially if your trying to make money. Sew Speed is good, not super fast but likely faster than combo machines. Changing colors is slowish but faster than a combo unit. Onboard Software SHOULD be easy even for the novice. However in all fairness I have 30 years of experience working with embroidery machines and digitizing software, running my own business! So my endorsement comes with 100hrs, actually more like 1000hrs, working with 4 single headed/9 needle brother machine's ever day. So I’m a little bias when I suggest to you. Buy this machine. My wife and I have since slowed down and purchased this machine for home use because we are is still in need of doing projects, for ourselves, family and friends. I have since scrap my 4 Brothers machines all at 20+ year old. Believe me they don’t owe me a thing.. I ran them to death, is an understatement! So, buying this Brother, was a no brainer, especially when faced with the choice of buying a combo unit because I was worried about space for this unit, in my home. Honestly, this machine really does not take up to much space and is easy for me a husband to move by myself. Or maybe, I would suggest at-least two humans 14+ years old. GL and enjoy.

Easy to Use
Style: PRS100
loving this machine. im used to a Brother flat bed machine, so there was a learning curve on how to hoop things. I found that the Mighty Hoops work best and are super easy, so ordered those to go with it and that was a game changer! Being able to embroider on shirts, totes, sleeves, pants is so great. since is is made by Brother the interface is very familiar so that was easy to use. the most important thing is getting used to making sure the shirt is under the tube or you will embroider it closed! I put a post it note on my machine to remind me to check that the shirt is below the tube. Changing thread is super easy by tying the new to the old and pulling it through. This machine is a breeze to use and does nice embroidery. There is a newer version and this one is being discontinued to buy it now if you want it. Compared to the new more expensive version, the only difference is that it can use a larger hoop and has monograms, so if you don't care about that, save 2K and get this machine while you still can. it's the same in every other way compared to new version. This is a wonderful machine. be sure to check out Mighty Hoops on Youtube.

Excellent embroidery machine from a seller with exceptional customer service
Style: PRS100
Love everything about this machine. Easy to thread and to change colors, just tie the threads together and pull through. Easy setup and flawless operation. This single needle machine has one free arm and can embroider everything I can throw at it. Highly recommend this machine and the seller: ishoptops. They worked with me when there was a shipping delay and went above and beyond to make it up to me, even though the fault was with UPS.

worst machine i ever bought. after spending thousands of dollars to buy this machine, its been in the shop several times in two years, at the cost of an additional 1500. I own 2 other machines ( Janome ,)and never have a problem. I very careful with my machines and maintain them weekly. . Even if i sell it i can never get nearly what it cost me to buy it or cost of repairs. I have very low hours on this lemon too.
