What can I say? I love this machine. I have a couple of machines with all the bells and whistles, but this machine is my favorite out of all the 8 machines I have and the 2 old ones I gave away years ago. The sm 3701 lets me do what I want most and that is sew, I don't have to go through a bunch of setting just to find out that stitch isn't the one I am looking for. I like that it is so simple and reminds me of the old days when I use to sew for hours at a time. The sm 3701 has beautiful stitches and it is light weight, I can sew just about anywhere, even outside.     • Great simple machine
I think this would be a wonderful machine for beginners, although I’ve been sewing for 50+ years. I have a few Brother embroidery machines. I also have a couple of other sewing machines. I needed a simple machine to finish projects, such as ITH designs that just needed a few seams to complete them. Unfortunately, I can’t see well enough to thread a needle, so my other machines really weren’t working for me. I saw this machine with automatic needle threading at a very reasonable price and decided to give it a try. It uses the same accessories as my other Brothers and threads very similarly. It’s fairly small, and I got the option with the case, so I can stow it away when I don’t need it. I just got it yesterday, and I’ve already finished several projects that were languishing in my sewing room. It’s a winner! ... show more

Wanted to get into sewing for a while and decided to buy this product. It works well for me as a beginner and a plus is all the extra sewing features. It is pretty loud and the pedal has a slight smell. No jamming or any problems yet.

Easy to use!!! I have sewed things in the past on my Mother's machine but, wanted to really embrace this craft and try and see whole clothes/outfits. The instructions on this machine are great and make it easy. Best part is the self threading mechanism! My Mom was even jealous of that!

Priced with another store that had the machine only for $139. With this one i got the machine and the carry case (only thing on the carry case is I had to use the foam the machine was packed in to secure it in the case) for $30 less. Love the Machine Easy to use.
