This is a great, lightweight sewing machine. I needed a machine that could convert to a free arm for sewing a small bag. Not only did this machine work, but it sewed perfect stitches AND it handled very thick fabric/seams without a problem. I have other bigger machines, but this will be my favorite for portable sewing. I cannot wait to try the other stitches. So far I have only tried the straight stitch. ... show more

    • Presser foot mechanical problems
The brother sewing machine Model FB1757X is a good sewing machine for cottons, and medium fabric thickness. I have problem with the presser foot. When I lower the presser foot lever and fix the presser foot onto the shank, it snaped in place on the bar. But when raising the presser foot, the presser foot drops out from the bar. I continue to snape the foot in place.....It seem to be a mechanical problem. The bar is too small to hold the presser foot tightly! So. the foot continued to fall out from the bar.....And the presser foot is so wide that it blocks over the seam when I need to see my seam connection. ... show more

Viene bien empacada, con todos los accesorios esenciales y un manual fácil de entender. Aunque no tenía mucha experiencia, pude comenzar a coser prácticamente al sacarla de la caja. Tiene 17 puntadas integradas, incluyendo las básicas rectas, zigzag, elásticas y decorativas. El selector de puntadas es claro y fácil de girar, y la tensión del hilo también es muy manejable. Me encanta que incluye ojalador en 4 pasos, lo cual es una gran ventaja si estás haciendo ropa o accesorios. El motor tiene buena fuerza y puede coser telas ligeras y medianas sin problema, como algodón, poliéster, mezclilla liviana e incluso fieltro. He hecho reparaciones, bolsitas, bandanas y hasta algunos arreglos en pantalones. El brazo libre facilita trabajar en piezas pequeñas como mangas o bastillas, y la iluminación LED integrada es un plus para trabajar con precisión. Es una máquina muy estable y silenciosa, perfecta para tener en casa, ya sea para hobby, costura creativa o incluso pequeños proyectos de venta.     • Came Broken ! Did not work.
Circular handle to the right side of machine was probably broken. Did everything per instruction sheet. Did not work. It just whirred when started but did not move the needle. Had to return. What a pain!
