As a first time embroidery person, this machine isn’t great. The needles have snapped on me, it regularly tangled up the bobbin thread, gets jammed, etc. I’ve had a design go perfectly well and then suddenly the thing is jamming, bobbin thread is a tangled mess and it needs to be opened up. I don’t use the machine a crazy amount of times. It’s been 1.5 years years and I’ve used it less than 50 times. The instruction manual seems to have been written by someone who never saw the machine. YouTube has been significantly more helping in set up/operation than the manual. Large hoop size is great but you’ll still need to buy an even bigger one for sweatshirts/larger areas. I purchased this for my partner who loves custom embroidery. This one has: a 7x5 ring which is big enough for most patterns, the ability to upload your own patterns via USB, A touch screen OLED screen (small but big enough). It is as expected: fairly heavy, fairly space consuming. However, it does its job as expected and to a T. It is the more expensive variant as there are 400$ish variants out there which are 4x4 and also have the USB upload feature.
