This is a great machine for someone who is never embroidered before. I would venture to say that this is a great machine for sewer that wants to expand their creativity. It has a built in color program, that gives you the ability to make adjustments to your design, you can download tons of designs from the internet so you are not limited to the 100 or so dedicated to the machine. The best thing is .......it is easy to use. Not complicated at all. I am basing my opinion only on my use, which has no comparable at all.     • Love it. However there may be times you want to throw it out the window.
Read the owners manual! This is my first embroidery machine. I've done a little machine sewing in the past so I was a little familiar with sewing in general. Be prepared to do some learning about thread tension (upper and bobbin) and other factors that effect the finished product. YouTube has a lot of information about this machine (It's basically a PE770 with upgraded LCD display. I found Vince J. Arcuri's videos helpful. If you're new at machine embroidery (like me) be patient and learn the machine and how to properly prepare your project for the actual embroidery process. Purchased Amazon renewed and have to return. Extremely dissatisfied. It was missing every single accessory it was supposed to included and when I finally got everything in to get started (had to purchase separately) I get this safety error. I followed all troubleshooting in manual and made sure there was absolutely no thread getting tangled, machine was free and clear of any lint or thread (after I cleaned it, this thing was gross) and I tried 4 different needles. No way they were bent. After I'm refunded i may try this machine again brand new but this definitely left a bad taste. 3 days of waiting for stuff it was supposed to include and 4 hours of troubleshooting to end up without a machine. ... show more

    • REFURBISHED MACHINE- VERY finicky
I loved this machine for the first 4 months. Now, it is super finicky and I think I'm going to have to have it serviced. It is an Amazon refurbished machine and the return window closed 2 days ago. Otherwise, I might have sent back. I hope that with service, it will be better.

    • Fix self threader type and construction
Love the machine. BUT. the self threader broke the very first time I used it. And this was one of the more important features I was looking for. Really crappy design for threader. That part useless
