I promised myself I would buy a Brother sewing machine after using them in junior high home ec in 1968. Not in a month of Sundays will I buy a Brother again. The major complaint is with the pinpoint light that shines on the action -- I have to bend forward and squint to see the needle action. It's the first thing I think of when I look at my pile of clothes waiting for repair, and I avoid using the sewing machine because of it. The needle threader is a nifty feature, and I understand why some would love it. The dial that selects stitches is confusing, and I will never use more than three stitch types. Prepare yourself to get a desk lamp if you buy this sewing machine. ... show more

this was a christmas gift for my wife ,and as of yet she has not sewn with it.i set it up loaded 2 bobbins and threaded the machine and loved the ease of both features.

    • Train yourself with threading, pedal and models before doing real job!
PRO: Excellent design, full of options, come with a lot of accessories. CON: The integrated box for small accessories that was in previous models is missing
