    • What you need it your ethernet port on your computer stops working
First, this card seems well built and reasonably priced. I have purchased some imported add-in cards before that were not built well. A drawback for my review was that part of the electronics of this card were covered by a metal shield "can" to reduce interference; so I can't tell what chip the manufacturer is using. A word about why you might need this product: Several years ago, a power surge damaged the ethernet port on the motherboard of my desktop PC, but I had a vacant expansion ("PCIE") card slot; so I purchased a card like this one to restore that function to my PC. Purchased to take advantage of a faster network in my home. Item installed easily in a PCIe x1 slot, needed no drivers to be installed via Win. 11. Speeds are indeed 2.5gbe, great price to performance, going on using this for the last six or so months and still working great!
