I would never recommend this product! You fill it to a certain level, then have to pump it to spray, and the spray is so weak its a joke! Don't buy! I threw it in the trash, paper towels work better!

This mister just doesn’t work very well. Doesn’t pressurize completely to provide an oil spray. I was disappointed, because Broil King products are generally very good.

    • Great item for keeping your cast iron grates in good shape
Got a new Broil King BBQ last year. First time I've had cast iron grates. I hate the porcelain coated ones because they start to chip after a while, but I wasn't sure how to stop cast iron from rusting. I bought this oil mister and now I spray cooking oil on the grates every time after I finish Barbecuing (while the grates are still hot) and it's kept the grates in excellent shape. ... show more

Seemed like a good idea but I was wrong. I replaced this with a folded paper towel with some canola oil applied to it. The pump will produce one decent spray the next will be a drizzle of sobered out oil. You will never get the top to reset properly so it is always sticking up high and crooked. Works well with olive oil which is thicker than some cooking oils. Creates a fine mist. If you are using it on the grill, the spray is easy to direct as long as there isn't a strong breeze. In windy situations, short blasts take care of wafting clouds of oil mist.
