I was looking for something besides dumbbells for upper body workouts at home and read about battle ropes being good for strength and aerobics. Holy Enchilada, batman! I originally had these wrapped around a kitchen table leg(family rebelled) but have since moved them to the garage where I installed the anchor(thank you, stud finder.) It comes with a booklet full of exercises, but I usually set a timer and slap the dookies out of the garage floor for 5-10 minutes, chanting the names of my enemies, their offspring and pets. Upper arms and core are getting nicely toned. Impressed my son at the gym with my mad skillz.

Any home fitness product is only good if its used. Like many, I've purchased some home fitness products that are quickly donated to charity. This one I use. First of all it's fun. Secondly I can get a good workout. Third, it is of good quality. It is not of gym quality, but for beginners and casual users, it is great. I've been a gym regular for 10 years. I'm in good shape for my age (58), but I am not a serious athlete or training for a specific sport. I lift some weights, do cardio and a little Yoga/stretching. The Keepark battle rope is a great alternative to the gym. I can get a very good workout in. Battle ropes, by their nature, require a HIIT approach to exercising. I really like the enclosed exercise guide showing dozens of different ways to use the ropes and what part of the body is being worked. I can plan a program. I'm in decent shape, but a beginner on battle ropes. They are challenging, especially the cardio. The rope (only 1) is 40 feet long, so it's twenty feet on each side. It weighs approximately 16 pounds. The shipping weight is 8.17 kilos (18 pounds), but that includes the hardware. It is covered in a heavy duty nylon cover, similar to a fire hose. The handles are rubberlike grips about 9 inches long. The handles are about 2 inches or less in diameter so most people should be able to get a good grip. It comes with a mounting plate made of steel and bolts. It also comes with two straps for wrapping around posts. The hardware seems well made. There are two strap methods and the mounting plate shown on the directions. I use a pole for my clothesline and I prefer just to put the rope around the pole instead of the straps. I found there was too much movement when I used the straps. Of the strap methods, the one without using the clip worked best because it is shorter. I don't use the mounting bracket, but it would have less movement. Overall, this is great for amateurs and beginners. It is a nice alternative to the gym. I should mention that space and weather should be a consideration before ordering. I have a big yard, a moderate climate and a convenient storage area. For once,I'm very happy with a home exercise product.

This is a surprisingly good jacketed 40lb battle rope. Attachments for permanent mounting are supplied, but i just use some webbing or another rope and tie off on something. It is nice that option is available if I want to in the future. Jacket feels strong and will get a ton of use out of it. Great tool for the home gym.

Without a doubt these are some great battle ropes for the price. Even beyond the price they are a great buy. Strong and sturdy you can get a sense of quality from the start. I’ve had these now for about a month (maybe 3 weeks) and they have held up well with using them about 2 times a week for maybe 10 to 20 minutes each time. Some points of note – if you’re not going to use the mounting bracket which the ropes come with expect some movement (play) at the point to which you do secure the battle ropes depending on how you secure them. Right now, I am trying out different methods for securing them, but the first two solutions left for some movement at the point which they were secured, and it did impact the overall workout movement. The ropes way about 16lbs which is good but if your seriously into heavy use of these you might not find the weight as challenging as some heavy ropes, but these are great for me and for me it’s my experience with any exercise if you can’t increase the weight increase something else to increase intensity such as speed perhaps in this case. An important point here is, which you should expect, is that the ropes are long so make sure you have A LOT of space – see pics. These ropes are great, love using them in and outdoors, but you do need space as they will easily demand about 18 – 22 feet to use properly I’d say (just leaving in variation depending on use and mounting approach. I will say I did not find the wraps/straps which come with the ropes to be really strong for mounting but that is just my opinion as they seemed to fray quickly (and not just because I used them around a large wood beam 😉

These are awesome ... and I hate them (hate using them because they're good). To be fair, I don't hate them because of the build quality, not because of the sturdiness, not because of any of the reasons we usually hate a product... but because of how awesome they are. I abhor cardio - and these are no joke at all. 30 second intervals will wreck you! Add this twice a week to your workouts and you'll feel it for sure. Highly recommended. I was looking for something like this and was really glad to see these available at a good price. Been using them for 3 weeks now and they're like new. I'd suggest you make sure you anchor them in really well, they'll get a bit floppy if you don't, and that makes it all the more difficult and less effective.

The ropes are long, heavy, and extremely well made. It comes with a mounting bracket so you can attach it to a stud and get right to work. I've never used one of these before, but I have always wanted to. Everything is high quality material and I don't have any fears of this coming out of the wall or falling apart in some way.
