My family and I are having tons of fun with this bird feeder. We live in a semi-rural area surrounded by woods, and the variety of birds in our area is HUGE but they move so fast, we can only get a glimpse of them from time to time, especially the unique ones that are most beautiful. We invested in a camera bird feeder after searching around on easy ways for my family and I to see what birds were in the neighborhood, and we settled on this model. This feeder has a super high quality camera attached to the main compartment. It connects to your home Wifi system, to allow you to watch your feeder in real time. There is a easy to use app on your phone to download, I had no trouble installing or using the app, and it works really great. It sends you pictures! It even has an AI feature that works pretty well, to help identify the birds. From a power perspective, the camera does have an onboard battery, and the feeder itself has a solar panel on top to help keep the battery charged. Now keep in mind, the solar panel just extends the time between charges of the main battery. I normally charge the battery inside overnight about once a week, and this is usually when I add more bird seed to the onboard seed holder, so the panel does help extend the battery life, but it is not 100% the only way to keep it charged. From a install perspective, overall this feeder is relatively complex to put together, as well as setup. Grandma is absolutely not going to be doing this. You need a relatively handy person to put it together, mount it, then a techy person to help get the camera card installed, and the Wi-Fi setup. It took about an hour all in. The instructions are pretty good, the English is fine but it would have been nice to have a few more steps to help explain things. All that being said, I am very happy with this feeder. My kids and I are enjoying the candid views of the birds on the included perch of the feeder, and it has stood up well to the elements. Take good care of this product and it feels like it will last. We are super happy!

I am thoroughly impressed with the functionality, fun, and ease of setup of this security camera. It has brought a great deal of joy to our household as we watch the variety of wildlife that visits our yard daily. The connection to our Wi-Fi network was seamless and hassle-free. Bird lovers, in particular, will find this camera to be a wonderful addition to their setup. The picture quality is superb, capturing every detail beautifully. Additionally, the camera offers excellent value for money, making it a worthy investment. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone interested in observing wildlife or enhancing their home security.

This is the one! If you are thinking about it but don’t know if it’s legit, I promise I wish I would have purchased this much sooner instead of being skeptical for so long. I looked around for a few months before purchasing this gift for my Grandpa. This has become his new favorite obsession! Thank God something has taken the place of his Facebook news feed! Ha! This is a legit birdhouse that works perfectly. If purchasing for elders, you will need to make sure they understand how to work a smart phone to manually capture photos and videos while live viewing. Also, they need to know how to be able to view the folder of live captures. There is a feature that allows you to pay $45 for a year of cloud storage, which removes the need for a memory card. I opted for this option, as it is very convenient. This has brought so much joy in just 24 hours. We have it about 30 feet from the house and it still reaches wifi with clarity. As a caregiver of 18 years, I want to mention elderly people are generally lonely and this is a beautiful product to connect them to creation, nature, and it enriches their quality of life. As we get older, the simple things in life become much more special. Please consider the ones you love, who have loved you first. Get this product, install it in their yard, buy some bird food and fill it, and then teach them the basic functions of the app a few times with patience. They’ll have immense joy. I promise.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great product. It went together very easily and was simple to mount. The camera is clear and works great. The solar panel keeps the system fully charged even here in the the Pacific Northwest. If there were any things I would change, I would suggest an easier way to load seed and larger bird seed capacity. Short of that, this works great. Update: a year into ownership and I still like this unit but I have some suggestions. First, make the mount a twist-lock with lugs instead of the screws. The screws take too long to pull out & replace, limit where you can hang the unit & are too darned easy to lose. Second, capacity! The volume of seed this holds is darned small (exacerbated by issue one) so we end up refilling it multiple times per week. All that said, the basic function continue to operate to spec. The camera lens has gotten a bit cloudy, but no so much as to reduce our enjoyment of it.

Gave it 4 stars because the AI isn't always accurate. It basically goes to Wikipedia to match the birds. I'd rather not pay a fee and am fine with the AI being OK Records to SD card well, Ap is easy to use. I've tried others that had terrible Aps. Good value
