I am currently using this wire as a clothesline and It has lived up to my expectations. It was a little shorter than i thought it would be (50ft) but overall it has worked very well. Very good build quality and can hold a good amount of weight.

While I guess these don't claim in writing to be suitable for hanging sun shades, there is a picture of a sun shade on the product page with the caption "Sun Shades sail Hardware." I have hung my sun shade with these three times now, even doubling up the cables the last two times, but the cables break in the first moderate wind. They are probably ok for lights or gardening and the hardware is easy enough to work with, but I do not recommend these for hanging sun shades. ... show more

2mm.....pay attention to that description, I did not and was super disappointed in how much this is just a string. Also, all the pieces are super small. There are zero instructions, it just came in a zip lock bag, so come back here to Amazon and screen shoot the pics so you know what the parts are for. I cannot recommend this seller. Spend a little more money for a thicker "cable" and some instructions..... ... show more
