This is by far the best laptop I've ever used! The screen was better than expected, and the Intel i7 is very fast. My only complaint was that it did not come with any documents. After a quick search, I found and downloaded the user manual for this make/model ACH-I715-01. This was an unbelievable find at $149. The performance is absolutely amazing. This thing is pretty responsive! Battery life has been good. Boots pretty quickly. It will charge from the 1 USB-C port but the default charger is a round plug (kind of a bummer... I like USB-C so I can use the same charger to charge my phone) Feels pretty solid when carrying it around (I don't feel like I'm going to crush it). Case is metal behind the display which is good so you can't crush it. Bottom of case is plastic but feels thick enough that I don't feel like I'm going to break it when picking it up. Keyboard is kinda chincy.... Sometimes keys have to be pressed hard to get a response. The backlight is nice. It comes on automatically and goes off automatically. I've had some keyboards that you had to do a function key sequence to turn backlight on and off. 10 key (number pad) is a little tiny, but still very usable (unless you're an accountant) There were some reviews about a bad out of the box experience trying to get it to boot but I didn't run into that.... It booted with a default user on the first try. I wish it was avail in a 17" display but that doesn't detract from what I bought. At some point, I'm going to open the machine up to see if I can add more RAM. 16 GB would make this thing a beast. ... show more

I have been using com;puters since the 1970's and have never seen a computer with less documentation or instructions. The "users guide" is virtually just a picture of where the inputs and outputs are. I had questions about some features so Amazon put me in touch with the seller. I asked some questions about this "Broage" computer and he replied via Amazon with a link to "Brother" - the printer manufcturer. The User guide did have a phone number so I called it but the number appears to be disconnected. I went to the website and found an email link where I sent my questions. After 3 days I got a reply that helped some, but one big concern was there was NO SERIAL NUMBER anywhere tht I could find and I had purchased an extended warranty so would need that! When I asked I got a reply that they would warranty if so don't worry about an extended warranty. But what about software - some software also needs a serial number - but the more I asked the more he avoided any information about a serial number. That was enought for me to decide not to trust this computer. Thanks to the Amazon guarantee I got all my money back an bought a well known brand - of course at a higher price, but I trust them! ... show more

I bought the used one for $150 bucks as opposed to the new one for $350 and this laptop is fantastic. I had both my boss and my coworker buy the new one ( because buying a used laptop is risky, buying a USED, NO BRAND NAME laptop is just asking for trouble, right? ) absolutely not. This laptop is CRUSHING IT in both storage and speed, blew my 17in HP ryzen laptop so far out of the water I almost gave it away. If you must judge a book by its cover fine, just don't judge this laptop because it isn't a name brand, this beast will make you second guess yourself. I will gladly support this brand all day long. Again....the one I bought was USED and it still outshines both my desktop and laptop. ... show more

    • Don't Buy this generic Laptop! Bad battery, poor documentation and support!

I bought this laptop about three weeks ago. Came on time etc. I normally buy from well known brands, but in this instance decided to go against my better judgement and buy a Broage machine. The name alone should have clued me in to what to expect (if you think the word "brokage")! The laptop turned on ok etc. It asked for windows update and promptly crashed! It then kept in a boot loop the whole time. I reached out to their support and got a "Tommy". He said to send it back. Told him, I'm outside the State and so its cost prohibitive to send it back, and have to pay the local taxes all over again. I'm in IT so I was able to reinstall the operating system. However, the Wi-Fi adapter would not work. I tried to get that info from Tommy without luck. I fortunately was able to have another buyer send me the name of the wifi adapter and was able to find the right drivers and install. I thought that my problems were over! I wanted to use my laptop outside and decided to unplug the power adapter. The laptop came off immediately, quiet strange! I plugged back the cable and turned on the machine. I checked and it said the battery was charged 100%. I decided to unplug and the same thing happened! I tried turning on without the power adapter, no luck. I got a bad battery in a new laptop! I recommend that you steer far away! Buy a reputable brand, they cost the same as this generic laptop! ... show more

First off, my order was processed and then received by me within one day which was super awesome. Second, I am blown away by a number of things. The fact that the computer is stainless steel like a mac is incredible... I figured it'd just be plastic. Second, the keyboard is AMAZING. Again, like a macbooks pros keyboard. Computer is a little heavy but what you are getting with that is an incredible system. My laptop just booted up in EIGHT SECONDS. That is incredible. I also received my laptop with the software all set up upon booting. I literally did not have to do a thing. Overall, I am highly impressed by this and am glad I took a chance on an unknown brand. Also a pro, it comes with a one year warranty!..... Only potential question mark is whether they will honor the warranty because I got mine on sale and the website said you had to have paid full price. But I promise you, for $500, this computer is well worth it. So glad I got it. Will never go back to a mac again. ... show more

This laptop is super fast. I have all the settings geared for best performance and it loads youtube fully in just about 2 seconds. I'd say that's damn good for a 450$ laptop. This is not a gaming laptop but you can run some games on it perfectly. Right now i have been running counter strike source flawlessly. This is a decently powerful setup. I was just looking for the best bang for my buck when it comes to hardware, I waned a fast decent laptop and this filled that role tenfold. If this computer was made by a popular brand, the price would be probably double. ... show more

Just received my new computer the other day. It's a Broage, a laptop brand apparently that I've never heard of and now I know why. It's not what was advertised first of all. There is no webcam, the screen quality is definitely not Full HD and for some reason the computer has two separate hard drives, one with 90 something GB of storage and a larger one with 379 GB of storage and it's hard for me to understand how to get things I download on to the larger hard drive for more space. There is very little instructions in the tiny little manual included with the computer. I would ask for a refund but it would probably be too much of a hassle. LESSON LEARNED. ... show more

The technology is the old standards. The laptop works well if no large load is placed on it. Not for gaming and struggles with live streaming. The on board camera is worthless and poorly placed. A replacement model, not an upgrade.
