This set is pretty sturdy, but NOT microwave safe! They have heald up to many drops and tossing them into the sink. I can only use them when guests visit because my kids tend to want to use them in the microwave.

These work great for families with small children. Look nice and sleek, however NOT microwaveable safe and I don’t recommend putting them in dishwasher, either.

I have had ceramic heavy dishes for Years. These were so light weight I did not feel they would hold up. After about a month of testing them I purchased another set and donated all my old dishes. My husband has even committed on quality of the new set.

My FIL is staying with us for a bit and I wanted nice dishes that wouldn’t break if he accidentally dropped them. These plates are really cute and have held up to multiple washing in the dishwasher and by hand daily. They are a soft grey and creamy white color. When the product arrived, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I bought a similar product from Hobby Lobby years ago, which were plastic melamine plates with a faux wood grain finish on top with a clear-ish plastic coating over that; the whole effect was that it looked like wood but was very easy to eat on and clean. This product, by contrast, appears to have been some kind of faux wood grain paper glued onto melamine, and the entire product was very "unfinished" (no clear plastic overcoat). When I put these through the dishwasher the first time, it caused some kind of white gunk to accumulate on them, and the paper covering the eating surface was even rougher and felt like you'd easily saw through it with a steak knife at any time. Needless to say, this product is garbage. Like, a literal waste of time and money. I put mine in the trash. Do yourself a favor, and don't buy any of these kinds of plastic faux wood dishes sight-unseen on Amazon. If you can find them in the craft stores like I did, check them out there. Otherwise... just move along. ... show more
