I like this button switch so far! I bought it to use in Alexa routines. As others have said, Alexa recognizes these buttons as motion sensors! It stinks because you can't take advantage of the buttons on/off function, only motion detected or not detected! I already had a hub set up, so it was a breeze to add this switch in the Broadlink app. Alexa recognizes the four buttons right away HOWEVER you need to have the Alexa app rediscover these buttons! I wrote several routines in Alexa and none of them worked! I was so frustrated! As soon as I had Alexa discover devices again, even though it said no new devices found, all my routines worked perfectly!! Make sure you rediscover devices in Alexa app! I hope someday Broadlink and Alexa will work together to allow Alexa to see these buttons as on/off switches and not motion sensors. The switch is a real good value!

Works with alexa routines (motion sense trigger for each of the 4 buttons) had to rediscover smart devices on Alexa despite it being recognized immediately. After that, the button worked! Seems like a cheaper alternative to Flic, which is significantly more expensive. Already ordered a bunch more for my elderly mom so she has an easier time doing mundane things with a button instead of having to use the Alexa echo directly.

Needed a switch for lights in bedroom without calling to Alexa at night- these fit the bill perfectly. It's a little tricky to set these up with Alexa routines, but I followed a YT tutorial and it was maybe 10 minutes to build the routines for all 4 buttons. To my knowledge these buttons only do ONE thing- I don't believe you can use long-presses or multi-clicks to trigger. They emulate a motion sensor so basically a press is like a motion for single event per button. Still, VERY cost effective. The included mount is perfect for a wall switch that you can also lift the unit out of. Excellent design and function. My only gripe if you will is I wish you could purchase another set of just the buttons to work with the included hub, instead of buy the whole kit over again, but the price is great even with the hub so not a big deal.

Initially, I bought one of these smart buttons with the hub as a kit just to try it out. I did run into minor issues when connecting the hub to my BroadLink account, but it was nothing major as I resolved it in a few minutes by resetting it. The smart button was pretty easy to pair with the hub, but I did have to have Alexa discover new devices before the button registered a click to Alexa even after enabling the BroadLink skill. Like the other reviewers said, Alexa sees the unit as four motion detectors. But all you have to do when creating a routine is to set it to when the button detects motion. At the time of this review, each of the four buttons only serve one action. No double clicks, no long presses; only a single click. In order to turn on and off a light, you will need two separate routines, which will require two of the four buttons. But at this price range, I think that is still acceptable. I actually liked this smart button so much, I bought 5 more for various smart home devices around my home and labeled each button. Although they do trigger the routine, it does sometimes take 2-5 seconds before the routine triggers. I can live with that delay, but you may want to look at a quicker alternative if you need the quick routine response. I haven’t noticed any of my six smart buttons going into “sleep” mode. I’ve left several buttons untouched for days, and when I press a button, the routine still triggers. So far I haven’t had any major problems with these smart switches but they seem to work well for what I paid for.

Not the most intuitive instructions for hub set up however I can overlook that. It took maybe 10 minutes to complete pairing of both the hub and device. The best part is the ability to launch Alexa routines. My intended use was four seperate Alexa lighting routines which worked perfectly using voice commands as long as the room was quiet, however during a gathering with constant extraneous conversation Alexa had difficulty understanding voice commands. This Broadlink device totally resolved the issue and launched the target routine every time! I love this device!

We were so tired of Alexa misunderstanding the simplest commands. Sometimes you have time to screw around with that, other times you just need the lights on right now... or all the doors locked... or the speakers to stop playing music. If you can make a routine for it, you can trigger it with the buttons on this device. The setup takes a bit of understanding of how they've managed to trigger the routines, but once you get it all arranged it works perfectly.

Bought two of these and I’m very satisfied. Have setup routines with Alexa where the press of a button turns specific lights on, another will turn my espresso machine on and the cameras off, you get the idea. The square button might not be the most good looking button you can find. I think the appearance could be improved but, I was looking for a device that works and these little things work. I’ve been using them for 4 months and so far so good, should I have problems in the future, I’ll update this review.

Found out that this piece is one of the most convenient gadgets to control any BroadLink or BestCon product and as a consequence the rest of my home. S3Hub pairing is so intuitive and so does the smart button within BroadLink App. While just being a little curious i found that routines in their App is a master piece of work and far more advanced than Alexa or Google Assistant features. We managed to have control of Smart Wall Light switches in our stairs instead of using old fashioned 3way electromechanical switches. Our house even look more neat when we cancelled our old 3way switches and then just elegantly replace with this smart button. We bought more pieces to place them at my wife's and my parent's homes as an emergency button, since they all are over the 7th floor (low 70's). :) So far we are loving the product and the rest of BroadLink's product ecosystem. Highly recommended!
