I have been a Britax fan since 2007 when I got my then 1 year old his car seat. Since then, I’ve only had Britax car seats. It continues as we have purchased car seats for our grand daughter. My daughter has two and I have two. One I bought had issues and Britax was x changed it no questions. This Poplar S is perfect for my jeep wrangler. The one for life is great! But it was struggle in my jeep for room. We have put that in my husbands truck and this Poplar S in the jeep. Best car seats, safe and easy to use. Won’t go with another brand. Super easy to install and it doesn’t budge. It’s slim fitting I have a regular sedan and it’s not too big for my car. All around nice seat and well worth the price. I was dead set on purchasing a Nuna Rava, however I was turned off by the nonsensical cup holder placement. This Britax Poplar car seat came up in my final search as a compact seat that was also high quality. Being so determined on the Nuna Rava, I half expected that I might return the Poplar S. However I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and design of the Britax. The fabric is super soft and the seat is extra padded. I was previously using a hand-me-down Safety1st car seat and it’s insane how better the Poplar quality is as compared to a $150 car seat alternative. This seat is compact and fits well in my Subaru Impreza Sport. Install was pretty easy but I will need to put a rolled up towel under the seat to even it out and use the rebound bar. Summary: I’m impressed by this car seat as a competitor to other high-end, pricier alternatives like the Nuna Rava. ... show more

I find the britax’s easier to clean when really dirty (spilled ice cream, vomit). I like the easy release clips for getting them in and out of the vehicle. The strap release also lock securely but easy to release so I tend to loose the straps the un buckle. Then it is super easy to get a baby in with looser straps and then securely snug. Seems like better fit for different jackets/ clothes so always the right restraint. ... show more

This is my favorite carseat to date. So comfortable feeling. The shoulder padding is the best I've ever used. The ease of getting the carseat in and out the so easy and feels so secure. The carseat is really heavy though but im willing to deal with that for everything else.

Overall we have enjoyed the car seat. We have had it just under a month now. We wanted a car seat that could accomplish 3 things. 1. Extended rear facing option 2. Easy to install 3. Easy to adjust straps This car seat does fulfill these options for us. It has the highest available limits for rear facing. It uses clicktight technology so you aren’t trying to pull a ton to get a tight install. It also does not require rethreading the straps to adjust the level. These are the pros for us. The biggest two cons are that the car seat is very very heavy and the fabric part is difficult to get on and off. 1. The car seat is so heavy that it exceeds the lower anchor limits around 35lbs (check the manual for exact limit). This requires you to install with the seatbelt which is not much more difficult because of the clicktight technology but the latch system is so easy. We also were hoping to have a car seat that was easier to install so that it would be easy to switch the seat over to a different vehicle. Unfortunately because it is so so heavy, it is not convenient to do so. 2. Our first convertible carseat only had two fabric pieces to take off when cleaning was required. They were also easy to put back on. This has several pieces and lots of little loops and parts that you have to carefully retuck the fabric. That’s fine but I was not expecting it. We had to wash the cover fairly soon after installing the car seat since our toddler had a bathroom accident. TLDR: We are glad to find a car seat that worked for extended rear facing and that is easy to install and use. We were surprised by how heavy it was and the time it took to put the fabric back on the seat after cleaning. ... show more

This car seat is easy to install in my car and is slightly slimmer than the car seat we previously used. My kids in the backseat are excited to have a little more arm room next to the car seat. The car seat material is stain resistant and easy to wipe down after spills. I just use baby wipes to quickly clean up the mess. ... show more

Not only is this seat extremely luxurious looking and feeling, it’s extremely sturdy, seems easy to clean, installed so easily with the latch option (I’m sure seatbelt is easy too)! My baby fits so well in it, she is currently 6 months and the infant insert is amazing!
