  • Makes tap water taste great
Style: Ultimate w/Lead Reduction Pattern Name: Dispenser
I won't drink tap water because of the smell and taste, the tapwater throughout all of Ohio is so chlorinated but somehow still just smells like water from a swimming pool that's been peed in. I bought this one because it was the most inexpensive tank. It definitely works. There is zero smell and taste to the water once it's been filtered through the Pur filter. The tank is a good size, I only drink water throughout the day and we only have to refill the tank a couple times, maybe 3 depending on how much my child or husband are using it too. The tank is also fairly sturdy, filling it up is simple. You have to soak the filter when you first get it, before using it for I think it was 15 minutes, the packaging says that activated the filter, that was the only thing I cared slightly about, but I was just excited to try it plus i was hasty and decided not to get water bottles because it was being delivered that day at noon, so i hadnt had any water at all until then. I highly recommend this product, it's the 🐝's knees. ... show more

  • Updated Review
Style: Ultimate w/Lead Reduction Pattern Name: Dispenser
Edit a month and a half later… After finding the one purchased via Amazon was leaking enormous amounts of water (started with a small trickle but quickly progressed to almost direct flow from the top compartment through the spout), I contacted Pur. I told the gentleman on the phone what happened and he asked for my address. Within three days I received a replacement. No issues in this time and I would say that, though the mess an inconvenience were not ideal, the resolution was above par for companies today. ********* I’ve had this a month and a half and I keep noticing water drips below the filter in the fridge. This morning I saw the plastic bin I keep on the bottom shelf was filled a full 2” with water. Last night, I opened the fridge and the bottom shelf is soaked in water and I failed to moss the real tell that this is a VERY faulty product in need of replacement (or redesign, if this is a common issue). First, let me say that the filter is horrible. I leveled up but even after an hour I couldn’t add more water so I basically fill the top level once and then have to put it in the fridge, leaving me to refill the darn thing multiple e times a week. Add profuse leaking to it and I’m now no longer feeling inclined to use this brand, after a decade and a half of committed use. My last pur (former design) had mineral build up or I’d have not purchased a new one. Guess it’s my mistake- I’ll seek another brand since newer, in this case, is subpar. It doesn’t work under two month later. The previous model didn’t have these issues after many years. This is one of those items you need replaced immediately, not when it suits the corporation. So I’ll be shopping another brand and contacting Amazon via phone for a refund. ... show more

  • Doesn't Last
Style: Ultimate w/Lead Reduction Pattern Name: Dispenser
It was great while it lasted. I bought this in June of 2022. It completely became useless last night 8/11/23. The filter guide on the handle stopped working quickly, but I could tell when to change the filter by just looking at it and knowing 2-3 months was the norm. But last night the handle to release the water complete broke off. I'm sure there is some was to snap it back on, but I couldn't do it when I tried. Now I have to decide whether to buy another one. I had the same problem with the filter guide on the pitcher I had before this. ... show more

  • Perfect!
Style: Ultimate w/Lead Reduction Pattern Name: Dispenser
I really love this purifier! It was super easy to set up. The water tastes good. It's kind of slow to filter, but that means it's doing a good job. I just make sure that it stays full all the time so I always have purified water, as I also use it to water my houseplants. They seem to love it so far. It also has a light on the spout that blinks every time it's used, green means the filter is ok, yellow means it needs to be changed soon, red means it needs to be changed now. I would definitely buy it again. ... show more

  • Great water but spigot lever breaks easily
Style: With Faster Basic Filter Pattern Name: Dispenser
This is my third one of these. I like the size anc the water is great. Filters fairly quickly. However the spigot handle design is terrible. My first one broke in less than a year. The next one lasted longer since I was hyper-aware of being careful with it. But, after about 1 1/2 years, it too broke off. Please, PUR, improve the design!! ... show more

  • Works well with one design flaw
Style: Ultimate w/Lead Reduction Pattern Name: Dispenser
The filter works really well and fresh cartridges work pretty quickly. Our well water has a pretty high iron content and is fairly hard, this filters out most of it. The indicator on the tap is a nice feature as well, though you can definitely tell when it's time to change the cartridge when it starts to slow way down. The design flaw is in the lid of the filter tank... There's no seal. I fill this thing at least twice a day, so I fill it pretty full. The kid just sort of fits into the tank and is prone to leaking/sloshing. I feel like a rubber gasket would be a pretty easy design change and help eliminate the spills. Maybe you won't fill yours all the way, just a thought. ... show more

  • Filter works fast
Style: With Faster Basic Filter Pattern Name: Dispenser
This is the best water filter I've used. It filters super-fast and does not leave a metaled taste in your mouth. It fits in the fridge perfectly and is very easy to assemble.

  • Great tasting water
Style: With Faster Basic Filter Pattern Name: Dispenser
I returned my new Brita filter and pitcher. I could barely drink the water it tasted so bad. I found pur and I drink like 6 cups of 32oz a day. Hard to stop drinking it sometimes. Taste very fresh!
