I've tried manual pumps and battery pumps for my office water dispenser. This one is low-tech and beats all the others hands-down. It dispenses faster than our gravity-fed heater/cooler at home Even when it gets low. The air-water exchange is critical for the gravity fed systems and this one has an amazing design. It's hard to imagine raving about something so simple but the higher tech options has so many issues that it's nice to go back to simplicity that works. And, bonus, it's off-grid! 😄 The stand seemed almost rinky dink, at first, but it's solid and settled under the weight of the first bottle to sit flush on the counter. No complaints. The valve is the most important part. It exchanges water for air efficiently even when the bottle is almost empty. The first time I used it, I set my paper cup on the counter, squeezed the handle all the way, and proceeded to be doused in water as the cup shot off the edge of the counter. It's fast! You can squeeze the lever less if you don't want it to go full blast, but if I'm filling my big water bottle or eager to satiate my thirst, I prefer to hold on tight and let it rip! I've been through a couple of bottles on this. I use my 5 gallon water bottles delivered by a local company. I rip the plastic top off the bottle and put this valve over the end. It fits tight, doesn't leak, and works perfectly. I think it's worth noting that if you immediately remove the container being filled as you let go of the lever, then you're likely to miss some water which will go onto the counter or whatever. But, if you want a second or maybe less, it empties the valve and then it doesn't drip after that. I don't know if it has some hydrophobic coating/material on the spout, but it doesn't seem to drip. I have a paper towel folded under it to detect any leakage, but there hasn't been any (except when I manage to spill my cup). It seems to dispense down to a very small amount of water which can be easily poured out when you pick up the bottle. It's well worth the reasonably low price tag IMHO. ... show more

I took a chance this since there weren’t any reviews when I placed the order and I’m super happy with the purchase. First, love how easy it is to put together/take apart. Also, the height allows room to place a cup under the spout when pouring. Also love the all black. And the fact that it comes with the 2 sized spouts is a huge convenience because I have both size water jugs. The caps are well made and easy to attach. Keep reading if you would like me to compare to another stand. I have another stand (unknown brand) that is stainless steel and it doesn’t leave any room to place a cup under it for pouring. The spout extends past the countertop. So you have to have it sitting right at the edge of the counter and then hold your cup at an angle to pour. I have a toddler who loves to “play water” and can easily access the spout when it’s at the edge, so I had to find something with the perfect height and strength that I could place the stand on just to be able to push it back away from the edge when not in use. Placing the jug on top of the stand is also difficult because of the height and and angle which cause the stand to sometimes lift up like a seesaw when your trying to get the jug in place. It also doesn’t break down like the Briso stand, so it’s an awkward shape to carry/pack if you’re trying to transport it. It came with one spout made by White Water Co which is extremely difficult to attach due to some issue with the threading and often leaks. It does feature non-slip grips on the bottom which seems like a plus, however I’ve found it’s pointless (unless you plan on putting the stand on a slanted surface which I can’t imagine that being a common issue). The grips only mean that you to have to lift the entire stand/water jug if you need to move it (which can be difficult). The weight of the water jug is usually enough to hold it in place and since I have low cabinets, I prefer to be able to move it around without breaking my back. ... show more

I'm a female in my late 60s. I used to struggle turning 5 gallon water jugs upside down to put into a dispenser. No more. I tried all sorts of pumps - manual, electric, battery. THIS is best solution ever! First I put the dispenser nozzle on the jug, which means it won't leak when I then lift it onto its side. Love the concept of this. We replaced a hand pump with this and are very pleased. The frame is a little too small for the application, causing a bit of unsteadiness. Much preferred over the manual pump!

It works as expected.. excellent for those of us who prefer room temperature water..be sure to remove the plastic seal off the water bottle before attempting to screw on the nozzle . One thing I don’t like is the packaging.. the theft proof packaging is extremely hard to remove.. almost cut myself on it multiple times ... show more
