Bought as a gift for my 4 year old. He loves them! They are thicker plastic and easy to use. My box like others was cracked and will not hold up for long. If the box was a thicker plastic it would be perfect as my son loves to carry it around. The set comes with a lot of bright colors and is very fun. It uses nuts and screw bolts to hold together the other pieces. My son likes to make cars and engines with them. He loves the "instruction" booklet (which is more like pictures where you have to guess how to make it, but it is so easy to figure out that it doesn't bother my son). He loves the many ideas the instructions hold. He loves that it comes with screwdrivers but its easy enough to use your hands to tighten or loosen them. This was a good stem buy. It practices hand eye coordination and the instructions challenge his mind to be problem solving. I do wish it had just a few more pieces because unassembled in the box it doesn't seem too impressive and takes up no space. My 10 and 7 year old also love it.

I bought this toy for my 2-1/2 grandchild. This year "Santa" over did it. I may have to wait few weeks to play with him and give him some orientation. Regarding the quality, it is very good, the colors and the samples offered are great. I am very happy with the choice we made.

My 5yr old son loves this and so do I. Carrying case, all the little tools and pieces are great to take to grandma's on vacation this summer. He played for 6 hours!!!! What!? A five year old focuses on one thing for 6 hours!? I kid you not!! So focused and proud of himself. I can see us buying a larger kit or more to add to this one. A few things to note. There are a few frustrating things about the way the pieces go together. But thats part of the learning and experimentation. This is a very simply made kit. Great for little kids. I'm hoping I find something similar but more sophisticated when he is a year or two older.

I bought these as a gift for a child who was turning 4. I was somewhat disappointed when I saw them, thinking that there wasn’t much to them. But when the little boy saw them, his eyes lit up (he does love building sets) and elected to play with them over all the other presents he received. They’re very colorful, sturdy pieces and after we found the little connectors and screw drivers he began to construct different objects usuing his imagination and fine motor skills. There were illustrations of many things he could build as well. This is a great toy and I would definitely recommend it for younger children.

My family loves this building set!! So many fun things to build and the instructions are very easy to follow. Good fun for both my 5 and 3 year old! They have built so many things on their own as well as things from the idea poster. I would order this set again and recommend it to friends and family. I love that this set works for multiple ages! Clean up is also a breeze thanks to the handy bucket and top. This allows my crew to keep up with all the pieces.

Our 4 year old grandson loved this product and now at the age of six continues to have fun and experiment. A great STEM toy and learning tool. Above and beyond the product the customer service and caring we experienced was outstanding. When a wrench for this 100+ piece building toy went missing the folks at Brickyard and Dynamax went out of their way to supply us with a replacement at no cost, not even for shipping. They were friendly and professional and 'obsessive' in their customer satisfaction role. They helped a Grandad help his grandson to be happy and to continue to experience the joy of learning while playing. I recommend this product and this company...unreservedly.
