  • Great for its price Great for its price
Size: 10X12FT Color: NightBlue
I am finally ready to provide a review of the shed. Overall, this is a decent product for its price, and the overall quality is quite good. Approximately 98% of the holes were matched. A few holes were slightly out of line, but I am not certain that this was not due to an imperfectly leveled floor/base on my part. The main negative is that skilled assembly is required. I have significant experience in furniture assembly due to my work, so it was not overly complicated for me, although the process was time-consuming. It took me and my mother, acting as a helper, approximately three days (about six hours each) to complete the assembly. Here are some key insights from the assembly process: - Good Leveled Base is Essential: You must create a good, even, and leveled base. Without one, you will not be able to assemble this structure. I used pallets for my base. - Follow the Instructions: Please follow the instructions meticulously and do not try to deviate from each step. - A Helper is Required: You will not be able to assemble this by yourself. Get a buddy who can help hold parts steady or pass you the correct tools and parts. - Right Tools: A cordless powered screwdriver is the only efficient way to handle the assembly. - Good Weather: Plan this purchase for a dry, warm season. Doing the assembly in the rain and wind significantly delayed our process. Despite the fact that each individual part seems flimsy, the shed is sturdy enough once it is fully built. However, be aware that you cannot lean anything heavy against the walls, as they will instantly bend. ... show more

  • Worth it, level foundation!, 2-3 days w 2 ppl Worth it, level foundation!, 2-3 days w 2 ppl

This is for the 10x12 gray shed with two opaque windows and and two plexiglass ceiling panels. This went pretty well. In great part because I read lots of the reviews for this shed and other sheds and took the advice to heart. Buy your own roofing screws that have the rubber washer already attached. I think ours were 1 in number 9, but I would suggest 3/4 in if you could find it. Also you need way more screws than you think. Between 7 and 800 I would estimate. Like others have said building the platform level is *vital*. Almost all of our holes lined up. There were a few here and there that didn't line up. Including the cross/support beam of the doors. And where the the locking mechanism was supposed to go on the top. We had to drill a hole with the step bit there. (And it's still possible these issues were user error). We spent an entire day with two people peeling the plastic on a Friday. And it was probably 9 hours honestly. And we were even lucky that a chunk of the panels didn't have the plastic on it. It says to wear gloves, and they do provide relatively decent ones, two pairs. However it's impossible to grip the plastic when you're peeling it or the screws when you're screwing it together so better one person handle the panels putting them in (wearing gloves) and the other person handles the screws. I did get my finger sliced open once. You'll need a ladder. After peeling the plastic on Friday we spent about 10 hours Saturday putting it together although we were interrupted in the middle to go buy more screws. On Sunday we spent probably 3 hours finishing it. We were missing one piece, part of the locking mechanism. I'm going to reach out to them. Of course we may have just missed it in all of the packing material. If you have two relatively handy people you can build this. Having two drills and four batteries would be handy. We had one drill and two batteries though and it still went pretty smoothly. Like others have said do not do this on a windy day. Follow the instructions. Follow the instructions. I'm saying it a second time. Even when they don't seem to make sense. My husband would look ahead in the instructions and say oh okay, realizing why they told you to do it that way. Follow the instructions. It came out great. We received very little damaged pieces, hardly anything really. And we did have a wind advisory tornado watches the day after putting it together. 20 to 25 mph sustained winds with 40 to 45 mph gusts. The building was untouched. I typed most of this up and saved it in my notes app and I'm just now getting around to posting. The shed has been up for a couple of months now. It's doing great. No issues. So glad I got the two clear panels for the roof. Between the shed and the materials for the foundation (plywood, 2x4s, concrete blocks, paint for the floor, screws with washers already on) I did probably spend nearly $1,000 total. So keep in mind all the involved costs before you start. I was worried about spending this much money sight unseen on such a large purchase. I'm glad I took the chance, I think it's well worth it. If I had paid somebody else to put up a shed for me it would easily have cost twice as much. ... show more

  • Difficult to assemble
Size: 6X4FT Color: NightBlue
This was so hard to out together most of the holes did not match up so we had to make new ones and some holes went without a screw at all. It was so hot and I was frustrated and we had already spent 5 different days and 20 hours combined trying to put it together. The instructions were horrible you couldn't tell which direction to install some things and we would have to take it apart and fix it more than once. Also the hinges should go on before you install the frame pieces unless you have tiny hands. At least it holds my stuff and will have to cover holes to prevent leaking but.othet than that it's a decent shed for the price. ... show more

  • Nice shed for price
Size: 10X12FT Color: Brown
Very pleased. Note: there are nearly 700 tiny screws to install. Takes 2 people and patience about 16 hours. This winter we had 18" followed by 30" of heavy wet snow and any deflection corrected itself when the snow melted. A flat base is a must.

  • Amazing Little Shed
Size: 5X3FT Color: NightBlue
This small shed was just what we wanted/needed to keep a few tools and other materials in while we are building a large greenhouse. No need to load everything up and take them back to the workshop. Now we have a safe, dry place to store them. We were amazed at how organized the directions and parts were. Everything is numbered & labeled, but you need to read the directions first and then pay attention to how you lay it out. It must have a flat level surface because when you are screwing everything together, sometime three pieces of metal, it will not go well if the shed is not level. It definitely takes at least two people to hold it together while someone else is screwing (there are a lot of screws so you will need a power drill for most of the screws) It is very logical to put together and the amazing thing is the sheer engineering of it, everything fits if you just follow the directions and go step by step. There are few written instructions, but lots of drawings & details. Some of the drawings could have been a little easier to decipher, but all in all it is truly amazing. A good value for the money, but again you need at least two folks or maybe three so someone can read the directions and keep everyone on task as to what comes next, be patient. Another great thing is that when we are finished using it at it's current location we can literally move it to another location by detaching it from the current foundation and we will not have to take it apart. ... show more

  • VERY happy with our purchase! Time consuming, but worth it for the money saved!!! VERY happy with our purchase! Time consuming, but worth it for the money saved!!!
Worth every penny!! Spacious and sturdy, keeps most of the rain out. Very time consuming to put together. We had three people working for a few days (about 12 hours worth of work total) and I think it would be nearly impossible with only two. One of us is a contractor and that helped a LOT when the instructions weren’t clear, so I’d recommend someone handy helping. 12 hours sounds crazy, but trust me. Our platform was perfectly level and it made a big difference. We constantly checked to make sure the shed frame was square. As long as you keep it square, the holes line up and the screws go through just fine. The pieces were in perfect shape when they have arrived. You’ll see some dents in the photo maybe, but that was from user error. We didn’t take the plastic layer off the metal sheets - they’re for scratch resistance and we wanted to keep them on. You can’t even see them once the whole thing is build. We’ve got heavy stuff leaned inside and outside and the walls haven’t buckled. BUT they were before we anchored it to the wooden platform. So that’s a super important step. Even with the hiccups, I’m extremely happy with the purchase!!! It was so cheap compared to other storage options and we got a lot more space. ... show more

  • Parts are right, it's most likely user error if you're having problems with it
Size: 10X12FT Color: Brown
For the price, you can't beat it. All parts were included, lots of extra screws. I read a bunch of reviews saying that things didn't align and parts were incorrect, etc. Im pretty sure 99% of all of that is user error. I thought the same when some things didn't fit or align. I even emailed the company accusing them of shipping a piece that was too small, but after I remeasured and resquared the walls, I figured out that the walls on either side of the door/front were bowed out due to significantly less support than the back wall, which threw everything off. Once I pushed the walls in, everything fit. All the holes are drilled where they're supposed to be, however, there is so much room for things to go off a little due to many factors, but everything does fit if you keep it all square and level. My only issue was with packaging/shipping. The shed came in 2 large super heavy boxes, not very well protected. Half the contents were exposed and when I opened the boxes, almost every one of the panels were either dented or scratched in a few spots. I was able to bend most of them back to shape and placed the worst ones where they'd be seen the least. Don't attempt to put this shed together if there will be any wind for 3 days. Also, removing the plastic wrapping on each piece takes as long as the actual assembly. I thought know what you're doing and you leave the wrapping on, it would be possible to build it in a day, maybe day and a half. Instructions are pretty bad (they're wrong in several places), but use common sense and you'll figure it out. Not rocket science. ... show more

  • It leaks and will blow over in 15 mph winds It leaks and will blow over in 15 mph winds
Size: 5X3FT Color: NightBlue
At first I was excited at the price I got this. When I first opened the box it looked like the metal was scratched. But it turned out every piece of metal had a thin coating of plastic which was hard to remove but you needed to if you didn’t want it to look all messy. Then the way it is put together is with small metal screws which don’t seem to hold all that well. It’s hard not to over tighten them. They have plastic washers which I would guess were for keeping water out. But because the screws didn’t really tighten well that didn’t work. Also the first windy day it blew over and bent and ripped the bottom pieces that were right off that were supposed to be keeping it stable and connected to the base. So I made a bunch of reinforcements and made it much more sturdy drilling 3 inch deck screws thru the side of the walls into the 2x4 base I made inside the bottom of the shed. The next rainy day, my stuff inside was all wet! The screws in the ceiling leak. So next I will silicone caulk these issues and I think I should be good to go. Also I have noticed the stainless steel latch is beginning to look like it’s rusting or maybe it’s just the screws that connect the latch to the door. I would probably still buy it again even knowing all of this. Probably normal types of things you would have happen at this price point. ... show more
