I had a couple of bannetons already that I had purchased on Temu. One was nice, good size. The next ones I bought were too small and reeked, serious a horrific odor! The last I tried was too small. Then I found these. I wish I hadn't wasted time or money buying the others. These look as if they are made the same way, but there is zero odor, they are the perfect size for a Batard. I've used it twice already and am quite delighted. The price was reasonable, especially as it is for TWO. A lame is included and also a terrible bowl scraper. It will likely end up being a Play-do tool. I'm very happy with this purchase and 100% would buy from this seller again! ... show more

Overall, this is great value for the price. It comes with two baskets already sleeved and a really nice razor tool with a bunch of extra razor blades. That razor handle surprised me since it was actually good quality and looked nice. While the baskets were fine, I did notice that some of the wooden strips were broken. They did not compromise the overall structure of the basket, but it is noteworthy, I presume some more might crack in the future due to temperature fluctuations and given that the quality of the wood is not the best. I do believe that if you get one with all the wooden pieces in-tact, to season them well as to prevent them from cracking. ... show more

These baskets are the right size for my sourdough loaves—not as small as others. Worked perfectly. Tip: rub the flour into the fabric before use instead of merely sprinkling it. No sticking.

I have only used the baskets a couple of times, and I am a beginner baker who does not have much experience to compare to. But I can at least speak to the quality of instructions supplied with the baskets and in messages from the manufacturer. They are quite thorough and explain well how to prepare the baskets for proofing and how to care for them. Overall, I like the quality of the baskets and the liners as well as the fact that it came with a lame (+ extra blades) and the dough scraper. ... show more
